‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Cast Reveals What It Would Take to Make a 3rd Movie
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt are all open to making a third installment of “The Devil Wears Prada” — but will only do so if the script is good, the trio told People in an interview published Sunday. Streep also joked that the cast also has to be alive.
In addition to the script, Hathaway noted, “And then, everybody has to say yes” before Blunt added, “It’s got to be the core four” — a reference to the three in the interview and Stanely Tucci.
“The Devil Wears Prada 2” was made 20 years after the original.
“The thing that struck me was that when we made the first one, I was just a 22-year-old mess,” Hathaway told People. “I mean, I’m in such a different phase of my life. I’m really lucky. I found someone that I love so much [husband Adam Shulman]. We’ve been married for 17 years. We’ve got two kids. I just feel like my life is in a much more complete and whole place. I felt so lost when I was 22, which really worked for the character.”
Streep described the process of relearning her character, Miranda Priestly, as “kind of easy.” She added, “I think you keep these characters. I liked discovering [Miranda] again.”
Blunt also said, “You are sort of fused with this person you’re playing. Listen, I love playing this lunatic. I had a lot of fun slithering back into her shoes.”
The sequel has enjoyed a $233 million global opening since its debut Friday, which put it above Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*,” which had a $160 million global debut last summer.

American Pavilion Announces California Day at Cannes 2026
During the Cannes Film Festival, the American Pavilion is the premiere destination for networking and programming related to the American film industry. Fittingly, AmPav and IndieWire are once again devoting a day to one of the most crucial topics in the world of American entertainment: production in California.
California Day, which launched at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, is returning to the American Pavilion this year with programming highlighting California’s status as a premiere destination for production. Many conversations will specifically focus on the passage of AB 1138 legislation that expands tax incentives for films and TV shows in the state.
“California Day brings together the people, places, and policies that make our state the most dynamic production ecosystem in the world. With the expansion of our Film and Television Tax Credit Program, we’re seeing large-scale productions return to the state that built this industry beginning over 100 years ago,” Colleen Bell, director of the California Film Commission, said in a statement. “From our world-class crews to the communities that welcome productions into their neighborhoods, California Day at Cannes is our opportunity to tell that story directly to the global filmmaking community and reinforce our belief that no one does it better than California.”
In addition to the California Film Commission, partners include Marina del Rey Tourism Board and Film Santa Monica (Official Permitting Office for the City of Santa Monica). Joining California day in 2026 are Chula Vista Entertainment Company (CVEC), Film Liaisons in California Statewide (FLICS) and NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA).
“Last year’s inaugural California Day made clear how much appetite there is in the international community for an honest conversation about filming in the state. California has always been at the heart of what The American Pavilion celebrates,” Lynne Howard, SVP of Future of Filmmaking and The American Pavilion, added. “Partnering with the state’s leading film offices and tourism organizations to expand the program this year is a natural extension of our mission to connect creators with the resources and communities that bring their work to life, and Cannes is the right stage to tell that story.”
Anyone attending Cannes who is interested in American Pavilion membership can register here.

‘The Night Agent’ To End With Season 4 On Netflix
Peter Sutherland is embarking on his final mission. The upcoming fourth season of Netflix‘s The Night Agent, which began production today in Los Angeles, will be the series’ last.
“Ever since the initial success of The Night Agent, I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey,” creator, EP and showrunner Shawn Ryan said. “I’m so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on The Night Agent and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans. We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget.”
Talk about the series possibly ending with Season 4 started circulating over the past few weeks. After a hot start, The Night Agent‘s first season broke into Netflix’s Most Popular list, viewership has slipped in Season 2 and 3.

Patrick Schwarzenegger Joins ‘The Bookie & The Bruiser’ In Dual Role
EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Schwarzenegger has joined the S. Craig Zahler movie, The Bookie & The Bruiser, where he will star in a dual role opposite Vince Vaughn and Theo James.
The Bookie & The Bruiser is set in 1959 New York City and features a pensive, Jewish fellow named Rivner (James) and an oversized Italian American tough named Boscolo (Vaughn). Having served in World War II, the two return as changed men, no longer fitting into their old lives. Unwilling to take orders or play by the rules of polite society, the two partner up as a bookmaker and his enforcer and run an illicit gambling operation that proves highly profitable — but dangerous. Their operation thrives until they’re caught in a violent power struggle between the Mafia and an Irish gang, forcing them into a violent fight for survival.
Schwarzenegger will play twin brothers Augie and Bernard. Augie is a desperate, down-on-his-luck gambler whose reckless attempt to escape a crushing debt puts Rivner and Boscolo in the crosshairs of New York’s rival criminal factions, while Bernard is his respectable, family-man twin, whose life is violently upended by his brother’s deception and the dangerous men it brings to his door.
Zahler wrote the pic and directs (Bone Tomahawk, Brawl in Cell Block 99). Oscar winning producer Anthony Katagas (12 Years a Slave, Ad Astra) will produce for Keep Your Head Productions alongside Dave Caplan (Longlegs, The Monkey), Dan Bekerman and Vaughn. C2 Motion Picture Group is fully financing the project. UTA Independent Film Group and Range Select arranged the financing and are representing the North American distribution rights. Anton is representing international sales at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.
Schwarzenegger most recently starred as Saxon, the eldest Ratliff sibling, in the third season of Mike White’s Emmy-winning series The White Lotus on HBO. He recently wrapped Florian Zeller’s psychological thriller Bunker starring Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. It was also just announced that Schwarzenegger will star opposite Phoebe Dynevor in 20th Century Studios’ adaptation of Emily Henry bestseller Beach Read. Other credits include a starring role as Tim Tebow in Ryan Murphy’s American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez, HBO Max’s Emmy-nominated limited series The Staircase, Prime Video’s The Terminal List, and The Boys spinoff Gen V. Schwarzenegger also starred in the Netflix film Moxie, directed by Amy Poehler.
Schwarzenegger is represented by UTA, Entertainment 360 and attorney Patrick Knapp.
