Alpa launched a new series titled Slap Shot Girls on Shueisha‘s Shonen Jump+ platform on Tuesday. MANGA Plus began releasing it in English at the same time on Monday

The story follows Kurumi Kobashiri, who moves to Hokkaido after middle school due to her parents’ circumstances. Her boyfriend chooses to break up with her rather than enter a long-distance relationship, and Kurumi is heartbroken. She finds herself wandering into a skating rink where she discovers a hot man and hockey.

Alpa ended the Ankoku Delta manga in January 2025. Alpa launched the series on the Shonen Jump+ platform in March 2024. MANGA Plus publishes the series digitally in English. hueisha shipped the fifth compiled book volume in April 2025.

Titan Manga revealed on Tuesday that it will ship its English 3-in-1 omnibus edition of Eiji Hashimoto and Shinya Umemura‘s Chiruran: Shinsengumi Requiem (Chiruran: Shinsengumi Chinkon-ka) manga on January 26, 2027. The company also unveiled the cover (pictured right):

Before he became the legendary Vice Commander of the feared Shinsengumi, Hijikata Toshizou was a reckless young swordsman determined to carve out his place in a nation on the brink of collapse. As political unrest tears Japan apart and violence erupts in the streets of Kyoto, Toshizou and his comrades will forge The Shinsen-gumi, the ruthless “Mibu Wolves”, a band of warriors sworn to restore order at any cost.

Hashimoto teased in January new content for the series, but did not clarify whether it was a new chapter or story for the manga.

Umemura provided the story, and Hashimoto illustrated the manga. The duo launched the series in the inaugural issue of Tokuma Shoten‘s Monthly Comic Zenon magazine in 2010. The manga began its final arc with the 32nd volume in January 2022, and ended in April 2023. Mangamo is also releasing the manga in English digitally under the title The Shinsen-gumi.

The manga inspired a stage play adaptation that ran in April 2017.

The manga’s live-action series adaptation aired on the TBS channel in spring as a special, and also streams on the U-NEXT service as a series.

Umemura and Hashimoto launched a comedy spinoff manga titled Chiruran Nibun no Ichi in Monthly Comic Zenon in May 2016. The spinoff manga received an anime series of shorts that premiered in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the series under the title Chiruran 1/2 as it aired.

The official X/Twitter account for the Paradox Live franchise revealed on Tuesday a new team ILLGATOR for its multimedia project. The franchise‘s official YouTube channel began streaming a music video for the group’s first song “Daru.” (Lazy).

The channel also began streaming the franchise‘s “4th Season” story arc trailer, which had its kickoff launch event on Tuesday. The video previews the story as well as teases ILLGATOR:

The team will have a live performance at the”Animate Girls Festival 2026″ at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro on November 7.

The Paradox Live The Animation series will have an upcoming film project.

Studio GRAPH77 (Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26‘s “Shikaku”) is producing the film project. Nine teams with 29 characters will appear, including the characters who appeared in the previous television series as well as new characters. (The project’s teaser showed images of members of Visty, Amprule, 1Nm8, and GokuLuck who did not appear in the television series.)

The franchise‘s third stage production run will open with Paradox Live on Stage -Road to Legend- “RAGE” on October 2-11 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel’s Stellar Ball venue in Tokyo, followed by Paradox Live on Stage -Road to Legend- “FATE” on February 19-28, 2027 in the same venue. Visty, Amprule, 1Nm8, and GokuLuck will also make their stage debut in this run.

Avex and GCREST‘s hip-hop-themed multimedia franchise launched in November 2019. The story is set in the near future, when rappers wear accessories that contain a metallic substance called Phantom Metal. Through the Phantom Metal’s chemical reaction with the rappers’ own DNA, the rapper can create illusions linked to their emotions during their performance. The result is a new type of spectacular concert.

The television anime premiered on the Tokyo MX channel in October 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

The franchise also includes CDs, merchandise, and concert events.
