Aston Villa Europa League final Q&A: Jacob Tanswell answers your questions
The biggest match of the Unai Emery era at Aston Villa is a little more than 48 hours away.
With Champions League qualification already secured, Villa travel to Istanbul to face Freiburg in the Europa League final on Wednesday, seeking their first major trophy in three decades and European silverware for the first time in 44 years.
Who will Emery pick for the showpiece? Where would the Spaniard stand among Villa managers should he secure his fifth Europa League — following on from previous successes with Sevilla and Villarreal — and this club’s first UEFA trophy since the 1982 European Cup? And how will this eye-catching campaign shape the club’s future?
The Athletic’s Jacob Tanswell will be online from 4pm to 5pm UK time (11am-12pm ET) to answer Villa subscribers’ questions ahead of a defining week.
