Kelli Berglund Joins Hulu’s ‘Prison Break’ Series In Recasting

EXCLUSIVE: Kelli Berglund (Heels, Now Apocalypse) has been cast in a series regular role in Hulu’s upcoming Prison Break series.

Berglund will play Cheyenne, a female inmate at one of the deadliest prisons in America. Priscilla Delgado played Cheyenne in the pilot.

In Hulu’s Prison Break, a soldier-turned-corrections officer takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she’ll go for someone she loves.

Berglund joins the previously announced cast that includes Emily Browning as Cassidy, Drake Rodger as Tommy, Lukas Gage as Jackson, Clayton Cardenas as Michael “Ghost”, JR Bourne as Junior, Georgie Flores as Andrea, and Myles Bullock as Darius “Red.” Pilot guest stars included Ray McKinnon, Margo Martindale, Donal Logue, Lili Taylor, and Sylvester Powell.

Elgin James serves as showrunner, executive producer, and director of the pilot and will showrun the series. Dawn Olmstead, who executive produced the original series, returns as executive producer. Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein, and Neal Moritz also executive produce. Prison Break comes to Hulu from 20th Television. 

Berglund most recently starred as Crystal in Starz’s wrestling drama Heels, created by Michael Waldron. Previously, she led Gregg Araki and Steven Soderbergh’s film Now Apocalypse. Additional credits include the indie feature Queen of the Ring, FX’s Fosse/Verdon, Apple’s Cherry, Netflix’s Hubie Halloween, Hannah Marks’ Mark, Mary, & Some Other People, TNT’s Animal Kingdom, and for ABC: The Goldbergs, and Doctor Odyssey. She is repped by Gersh, Industry Entertainment, Amplified, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
