The Jonas Brothers will headline the halftime show performance for the 2026 Melbourne game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 10 at 8:35 p.m. ET, the NFL announced Wednesday. The game will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground and streamed on Netflix.

The league will announce halftime performances for six other international series games across four continents and seven countries at later dates. The 2026 season marks the most international games (nine) in an NFL season.

The Jonas Brothers band was formed in 2005, with brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas. They became one of the most successful bands of the 21st century, thanks to their musical ventures and appearances on the Disney Channel. The band broke up in the early 2010s as the brothers focused on more solo projects, but reunited in 2019, when they released “Sucker,” which debuted on the Billboard Top 100. That song became their first No. 1 single on the chart. Their most recent album, “Greetings From Your Hometown,” was released in August 2025.

Although the Week 1 matchup between the 49ers and Rams will feature the first NFL game played in Australia, the Melbourne Cricket Ground is no stranger to hosting major musical guests. Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney and Madonna, among others, performed at the venue in the 1990s. More recently, Ed Sheeran performed back-to-back days in 2023, and Taylor Swift played three consecutive days in 2024.

“Bringing the first-ever NFL regular season game to Australia is a landmark moment for the league, and we are committed to creating an entertainment experience that reflects the scale and significance of the occasion,” Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL, said in a news release. “The Jonas Brothers are global entertainers whose music connects across generations, making them the ideal artists to help us celebrate this historic game in Melbourne. We look forward to delivering a memorable halftime performance for our fans in Australia and those watching around the world.”
