Chelsea winger Dastan Satpaev has joined Burnley on a season-long loan.
Satpaev has signed signed a six-year contract with the option of a further 12 months at Chelsea after officially joining the Premier League club from Kazakhstan outfit Kairat Almaty upon turning 18 this month.
The Kazakhstan international has immediately moved to Burnley, where Chelsea expect him to be a starter for the 2026-27 campaign, and the nature of his loan deal reflects this anticipated status at the Championship club.
Satpaev made 58 appearances for Kairat Almaty, recording 26 goals and 10 assists. He featured in five of their eight Champions League matches last season, including fixtures against Real Madrid and Inter, and scored in the 3-2 defeat by Copenhagen.
He scored the opening goal in Chelsea’s pre-season 6-4 win against Western Sydney Wanderers, having been given special permission by Kairat and his parents to go on tour as a trialist, aged 17.

Burnley are being led into the new campaign by former Club Brugge coach Nicky Hayen, and lost a number of key players following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Satpaev’s arrival follows the departures of wingers Jaidon Anthony, Luca Koleosho and Loum Tchaouna, joining Brentford, Paris FC and Coventry City respectively.
Burnley’s Championship campaign gets underway at home to West Ham United on Sunday.
