New Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Luke Kuechly keeps landing media jobs. And now he’s teaming up with Peyton Manning.
Kuechly will be replacing Bill Belichick to join Manning for “The Breakdown” on the ESPN Unlimited app, according to sources who spoke with anonymity to discuss a move yet to be announced.
Kuechly has already been named Netflix’s No. 1 NFL game analyst. He will call a handful of games for CBS. Plus, he will continue on as a radio analyst for the Carolina Panthers.
The ESPN show breaks down the Monday Night Football matchup.
Manning previously teamed with Belichick for the program two years ago. The show appeared on Fridays before Peyton’s Monday Night Football altcasts with his brother, Eli. After Belichick left for the North Carolina coaching job, “The Breakdown” took a redshirt season in 2025. Manning and his team wanted to wait to find the right fit.
The Manning-Kuechly confab is not expected to begin until October and is anticipated to lead into ESPN’s Super Bowl this year.
The formula of the program will be similar to the Belichick setup with the offensive mind of Manning and the defensive perspective of Kuechly countering each other’s insights.
