Adam Scott Says Severance Season 3 Has Been Filming for Weeks
Adam Scott revealed that “Severance” Season 3 is currently in production on “The Today Show” with Craig Melvin Tuesday.
“The Today Show” host asked the star of the Apple TV series what he could tell audiences about Season 3 since they have begun shooting.
“I can tell you this. Shooting is officially underway for Season 3,” Scott said coyly. “And that’s it.”
You can watch the moment yourself in the clip below.
Melvin then pressed further and asked if fans would have to wait three years between seasons again. “Severance” Season 2 came out in 2025, three years after the first season, following delays from the SAG and WGA strikes.
“We’re doing everything we can to try and make sure that doesn’t happen. You never know,” Scott said. “We want to make the best show possible, so whatever it takes.”
“You were so disciplined in a non-message,” Melvin joked with the actor. “How far into the shooting are we?”
Scott confirmed that they are a few weeks into production but added that they “just started.” When asked if the season would wrap production by Christmas, the actor answered generically, saying who knows.
Executive producer for the series Ben Stiller teased that production may be underway in a cryptic tweet earlier this summer.
“‘To return to work is to return home,’ Kier Eagan,” Stiller wrote in a July 27 tweet.

Series creator Dan Erickson posted the same image of Helly and Mark running through the halls of Lumon Industries on his Instagram last month.
Apple purchased “Severance” from Fifth Season, the production company behind the first two seasons of the thriller series, in February. The deal will see Fifth Season stay on as an executive producer. The transaction was similar to the tech giant’s acquisition of “Silo” from AMC Studios following its first season.
There is no official release date for Season 3.
“Severance” led the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2025 in nominations with 27, ultimately winning 8 awards. The show has received 41 nominations and 10 wins overall. Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman won for their lead and supporting performances, respectively, in Season 2.

Irish broadcaster RTÉ has announced that the third season of its family crime drama, Kin, starring Charlie Cox, will be released in 2027. Check out a first-look image from the upcoming season above.
The third season synopsis reads: In the third season, as the Kinsellas consolidate power, buried betrayals and festering rivalries turn inward, and the greatest threat to the family empire becomes the family itself.
Cox is back as Michael, Clare Dunne as Amanda, Emmett J. Scanlan as Jimmy, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Birdy, Sam Keeley as Viking, Yasmin Seky as Nikita, and Mark McKenna Jr. as Anthony. Jack Meade returns as Wayne Madigan and Öykü Karayel as Nuray Batuk.
New cast members include Alex Deegan as Shelley Dunne and Diyar Bozkurt as Aslan Batuk.
Kin is created by Peter McKenna and co-created by Ciaran Donnelly. Peter McKenna serves as showrunner. David McLoughlin and Samantha Thomas are the producers.
The show is a Metropolitan Pictures and House of Juno production. Fifth Season handles global distribution for all three seasons of the show.
Next year will be a busy one for Cox, with Daredevil: Born Again also set to launch on Disney+. Following the 2023 WGA strike, it was widely reported that the Disney+ revival of the beloved anti-hero underwent an overhaul following a determination that the project wasn’t working. Head scribes Chris Ord and Matt Corman, and episodic directors for the remainder of the series, were let go.
Daredevil originally debuted on Netflix; however, after Disney+ launched, a slew of Marvel series on Netflix reverted to the Mouse House’s streaming service in mid-March 2022. Other Marvel series that went from Netflix to Disney+ were Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher.

‘Raising Chelsea’ Returning For Season 2 On Disney+
Disney+ has greenlit a second season of Raising Chelsea, the British Hulu original series.
The show follows podcasters and reality TV stars Jaime Laing and Sophie Habboo as they adapt to life as parents. Season 2 will see them return to work, celebrate life occasions and new family adventures that take them out of their life in west London, where they first made their names as characters in reality show Made in Chelsea.
The returning season will see new faces, and the return of the couple’s mothers, Penny Baines and Sarah Wigley, plus Sophie’s sister Georgia Habboo, and Jamie’s best-friend, Oliver Proudlock.
Laing and Sophie Habboo said: “We were blown away by the response to the show and are so excited to keep sharing our journey. The experience of working with Disney+ and Dorothy Street Pictures for season one made it easy for us to say yes.
“We’ve always documented our lives over the years and continuing to do this on a bigger scale is just amazing. We hope that fans and viewers carry on enjoying our honesty as we continue to navigate raising Ziggy, together with balancing our family and professional lives. We can’t wait to bring you in more.”
Sean Doyle, VP, Unscripted, Disney+ EMEA, added: “We loved Jamie and Sophie’s pregnancy story in season one and meeting baby Ziggy, and we can’t wait to follow their family in season two.”
The show comes from Dorothy Street Pictures, which is known for the likes of Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Christie and the Emmy-nominated Pamela, A Love Story. Laing and Habboo’s company, Jampor Productions, is an associate producer, and the pair serve as exec producers, with Rebecca Burrell, Melanie Archer and Julia Nottingham doing the same for Dorothy Street.
Doyle ordered the show with Angela Jain, Head of Content at Disney+ EMEA.

Google DeepMind, Kling AI & Alibaba Join Busan’s InnoAsia Program
Major tech companies including Google DeepMind, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kling AI and Alibaba Group have signed up to participate in the InnoAsia program of this year’s Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM).
The official market of Busan International Film Festival, ACFM says it is expanding its scope around the vision of “an innovative ecosystem in which cinema and technology co-evolve.” InnoAsia aims to connect storytelling with emerging technologies, including AI and the rapidly growing microdrama ecosystem.
As part of this, ACFM is partnering with global marketing and advertising agency Innocean to co-host the ‘Cinema by Brand 2026’ competition, with the Producers Guild of Korea (PGK) responsible for the selection process and production supervision.
Cinema by Brand is described as “an innovative investment and production support platform that connects client brands with film creators from worldwide to develop and produce new film content.”
This year, the competition is seeking 20-minute short film projects featuring Hanwha Group’s ‘Space Solar Power’. The first-round selections will be announced in early September, followed by final pitching in late September, with final selections announced during ACFM.
Each selected project will receive production funding, and the selected projects will then be produced and presented to audiences in Korea and worldwide. A session during the market will also explore the significance and potential of branded content in the content business.
Meanwhile, in addition to Google, Kling AI and Alibaba, other AI-driven tech companies attending InnoAsia will include BytePlus, Netflix’s VFX studio Eyeline Studios, MegazoneCloud, OPIM Digital, the Korean Film Archive’s VFX asset trading platform i.AM, and InShorts.
AI-driven content production companies joining the program include France-based AI/XR content studio Atlas V, Korea’s Mateo AI Studio, MBC C&I, Climax Studio, For Entertainment, K-Dragon and MooAm.
Microdrama platforms Mango TV, FlickReels and Vigloo have also confirmed their participation.
Kling AI will co-host ‘New Cinematic Possibilities: Reimagining Filmmaking with Kling AI’ and ‘Kling AI Networking Reception: From Production Needs Across Asia to Industry Partnerships’ with ACFM.
AWS and MegazoneCloud will launch the ‘AWS Awards’, linked to startup pitching. Winning companies will be selected following a PoC process and receive AWS cloud vouchers.
InnoAsia will also continue its partnerships with international markets, including Berlin film festival’s European Film Market (EFM). Lux AI, an EFM-participating startup developing an intelligent lighting solution for virtual production, and Tanja Meissner, Director Berlinale Pro and EFM, are set to visit Busan.
Through collaboration with TAICCA School under the Taiwan Creative Content Agency, imCore, a startup developing an AI solution to improve VFX production efficiency, will also participate.
ACFM and InnoAsia 2026 are taking place October 10-13 at the BEXO exhibition centre, during Busan International Film Festival, which is running October 6-15.
