‘Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II’ Announces Additional Cast Pair

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Nana Mikoshiba‘s Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu (The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World) light novel announced an additional pair of cast for its second season on Thursday. The new season is scheduled to premiere on TBS on October 9 at 1.28 a.m., followed by BS11 at 11.00 p.m. on the same day.

Voice actors Kazuyuki Okitsu (Hidarikiki no Eren) and Shiki Aoki (Helck) are joining the second season as Elliot Arkwright and Maria Bradley, respectively.

Masahiro Takata (Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai) directs the second season at Zero-G, also handling the series composition and sound director. Masahiro Takata (Bananya), Tomoko Shinozuka (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii), and Takahito Oonishi (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) are penning the script. Mariko Kawamoto (Mahou Shoujo Taisen) is designing the characters. Tatsuhiko Saiki (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… X) and Natsumi Tabuchi (Adachi to Shimamura) are composing the music.

Produced by Cloud Hearts, the first season aired as a 12-episode series in Winter 2023. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.

Mikoshiba began writing the light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2019. Kodansha began publishing the novel under its Ranobe Bunko imprint in July 2020, with illustrations by Riko Korie. The ninth volume shipped on June 2.

Norihito Sasaki began a manga adaptation in Magazine pocket in June 2020. Kodansha shipped the 16th volume in April 2024.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in October 2021. The 13th volume went on sale on June 2.
