‘Shin Oishinbo’ Reveals Main Cast, Staff
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Tetsu Kariya‘s Oishinbo manga, titled Shin Oshinbo, revealed the main cast, staff and a teaser visual on Thursday (pictured below). The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

Kariya began writing Oishinbo in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine in 1983, featuring art by Akira Hanazaki. Shogakukan published the 111th and latest volume in December 2014. The manga has been on hiatus since May 2014.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and published seven themed compilation volumes under its VIZ Signature imprint from January 2009 to January 2010.
Shin-Ei Animation produced a television anime based on the manga that ran for 136 episodes from October 1988 to March 1992.
