NBA: Steph Curry agrees two-year $116m contract extension with Golden State Warriors | NBA News
The Golden State Warriors have signed star guard Steph Curry to a two-year, $116m (£88m) contract extension, according to ESPN.
The deal includes a player option in the final season (2028-29), according to sources.
On top of Curry’s final year on his previous contract, he’ll be earning up to $178.5m over the next three seasons.

Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy said last month he was optimistic of getting something done with the two-time MVP and NBA career leader in three-pointers.
Curry, who turns 39 this season, will complete a $62.6m extension he signed for the 2026-27 season in August 2024 before the new contract takes him through 2029 – which would be his 20th season.
His contract will dip to $55.7m for the 2027-28 season and a player option for $60.2m in the 2028-29 season.
“We’re in a very interesting situation,” Curry told ESPN earlier this week. “All the different salary cap conditions of whether I sign for a max or less or whatever it is, I want to be on a competitive team. I want to have an opportunity to have some flexibility because we haven’t had that in years past, the recent past. This team should have flexibility to make necessary moves if things happen. Those are always just the considerations.
“For me, information and patience is key. It’s just a very unique situation all the way around based on where we’ve been the last four years, where I’m at in my career, what our team looks like this year and the absolute desperation to win. Trying to balance all that.
“The idea of getting back to work is exciting,” Curry added. “I feel like I’ve taken advantage of the offseason. I feel like there’s no hesitation about where I’m at physically going in. But I’m excited about getting back to work.”
Curry averaged 26.6 points, 4.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds but was limited to 43 games last season because of injuries. He has won four NBA titles with Golden State, most recently in 2022.
The extension brings Curry’s career on-court earnings to $652m, making him the first player to eclipse $600m in NBA history.
