Machibari, Juan Albarrán Each Launch New Manga on Manga One App – News

Shogakukan‘s Manga ONE app announced on Monday its new autumn serializations, which include new series by Machibari and Juan Albarrán.

Writer Machibari and artist Seseri’s Mibun ga Gyakuten Itashimashite (Somehow, Our Roles Were Reversed) manga will launch on October 17. Itoko is credited with the character designs.

Spanish artist Juan Albarrán and Kо̄ta Matsuda will launch the Kyokuhoku Tengoku: Escape From The Far North (The Heavenly Prison of The Far North) manga on October 25.

Albarrán ended the Mangaka’s Road to Japan manga on February 13. The manga launched on Comic Days in October 2025 with an English simulpub on Kodansha‘s K MANGA service.

Albarrán is the artist for the Matagi Gunner manga. Shōji Fujimoto wrote the manga’s story. The manga launched in Kodansha‘s Morning magazine in 2022, and ended in its 11th and final compiled book volume, which shipped in June 2025.

Machibari‘s Yomei Wazuka Dakara to Tsuihō Sareta Seijo Desu ga, Junrei no Tabi ni Detara Chō Kenkō ni Narimashita (The Banished Saint’s Pilgrimage: From Dying to Thriving) and Kenka Bakaridatta Konyakusha ga Ikinari Dekiai Shite Kimasu (All My Fiancé and I Did Was Fight, But Now He’s All Over Me?) novels have previously received manga adaptations. Square Enix‘s Manga UP! Global service publishes Komugi Awaya‘s adaptation of The Banished Saint’s Pilgrimage: From Dying to Thriving, and Shusuisha publishes Makoto Ayase‘s manga adaptation of All My Fiancé and I Did Was Fight, But Now He’s All Over Me? in English digitally.
