Former WWE star Donovan Dijak has opened up about what it is really like tagging with Baron Corbin versus Josh Bishop in Major League Wrestling, explaining how each partnership brings something completely different to the table. The comments came during a recent appearance on Fightful Overbooked’s “In The Weeds” interview series.
Since exiting WWE, Dijak has become one of the most prominent names on the independent scene and in MLW, where he has teamed with Corbin — then wrestling as Bishop Dyer — and, more recently, with Josh Bishop following Corbin’s re-signing with WWE.

Two Bishops, Two Very Different Dynamics
Dijak explained that he and Corbin are practically veterans of the same generation. The two started training within months of each other in the old FCW system, long before it became NXT, which means they share a very similar level of in-ring experience and longevity.
Josh Bishop, by contrast, is newer to the business — and Dijak says that brings its own kind of energy. The younger Bishop is described as super athletic and a big, strong performer, and the freshness of the partnership has its own positivity. Despite the differences in experience, Dijak noted there are plenty of similarities between the two “Bishops” as well, and both stints have been an absolute pleasure, whether working with them, against them, or tagging alongside them.
Big Things Coming in MLW
Dijak did not stop at looking back. He made it clear there is a lot of upcoming work already in the can, and he sounded genuinely excited for fans to see the results of the hard work that has gone into it.
The former WWE standout’s MLW run continues to be one of the more interesting stories in American wrestling outside the big two companies. His ability to slide between singles and tag competition — and to elevate whoever is standing across from him — has made him a fixture of the promotion’s biggest moments.
