Santi Rivera Confirms Exit From WWE ID Program, Thanks Hall of Famers for the Growth

Another name is off the WWE I.D. program roster. Santi Rivera has confirmed his exit from the developmental initiative, becoming the latest in a string of departures that includes Cappuccino Jones, Laynie Luck, Marcus Mathers, and Sam Holloway.

“Be Happy That It Happened”

Rivera, who joined the program in February 2026, announced his departure on social media with a gracious message: “Don’t be sad that it’s over, be happy that it happened.” He thanked @WWEID, writing that all the experience and knowledge he gained “will be utilized and implemented” going forward.

“The growth I experienced as a professional wrestler, the Hall of Famers, producers and coaches I’ve worked with, I’ll forever be grateful,” he added.

Eight EVOLVE Matches

Wrestling since 2021, Rivera competed in eight matches for WWE EVOLVE during his time under contract. EVOLVE has become WWE’s proving ground for I.D. prospects, and Rivera’s run there gave him real reps against fellow developmental talent.

The growing list of exits from the I.D. program raises questions about the initiative’s direction, but Rivera himself is leaving on good terms — framing his eight months in WWE’s system as pure growth. Where he lands next on the independent scene will be worth watching.
