The Vermilion Mask Drops Creditless Opening and Ending Videos After October 10 Premiere

Fresh off its October 10 premiere, The Vermilion Mask has gifted fans a closer look at its musical identity by releasing the creditless opening and ending videos for the anime. The clip-free versions let viewers savor every frame of animation without episode cuts getting in the way.

The opening sequence features MAN WITH A MISSION’s high-voltage track “Firestarter,” a fitting match for a story about young people bound by a cruel fate. The band described the song as “a powerful song, one that could give a push to the adventure of these young people who have been saddled with such a cruel fate.”

Ending Theme Carries the Story’s Heart

The ending, performed by yutori, is titled “Koe” — which means “voice.” The band offered a poignant reflection on the track: “You can’t erase the past, but the act of carrying it and still trying to move forward is surely something that overlaps with our own everyday lives.”

The anime was previously confirmed as a two-part series, with the first cour airing through the Fall 2026 season. Tetsuaki Watanabe directs the project at studio One Double-O, with Daisuke Ohigashi handling series composition and Alisa Okehazama composing the music. Original creators Dr. Poro and Nabana Naba are supervising the story themselves.

A Fresh Voice Cast Led by Taihi Kimura

Leading the cast is Taihi Kimura as Peru d’Arrest, coming off his casting announcement as Chihiro Rokuhira in the upcoming KAGURABACHI anime. The series adapts the manga serialized in Young King OURs magazine, and Crunchyroll is streaming the anime worldwide.
