Cody Rhodes Picks Guile’s Haircut For A Year Over Stardust Face Paint For A Day

Cody Rhodes made one thing crystal clear in a new interview: you will never catch him in Stardust face paint again — not even for a day. The American Nightmare says he’d rather sport Guile’s iconic flat-top haircut from Street Fighter for an entire year.

The choice came up during an interview with Overtime, pegged to the release of the Street Fighter (2026) movie, which hit theaters on October 16. Rhodes plays Guile in the film, while Roman Reigns appears as Akuma.

Guile Hair For A Year Vs. Stardust Paint For Two Weeks

Asked whether he’d rather wear the Stardust face paint for 14 days or rock Guile’s haircut for a year, Rhodes didn’t hesitate. “I would rather always do the Guile haircut. A year is a long time, so you’re committing,” he said. “I can’t see a world where I would want the Stardust face paint for one day. So I definitely would go with the Guile flat top.”

Stardust, of course, was the flamboyant painted character Rhodes portrayed during his early WWE run — a gimmick he has long distanced himself from since his career renaissance as the American Nightmare.

A New Era On Screen And In WWE

Rhodes’ acting career is taking off alongside his wrestling one. The Street Fighter role marks his biggest screen appearance yet, and he recently signed a five-year contract extension with WWE, locking in his future with the company for the long haul.

Fans of both wrestling and gaming have plenty to look forward to — and at least one thing they’ll never see again: Cody Rhodes in face paint.
