Will Ospreay has opened up about one of the most jaw-dropping moments of his career — kicking out of Kenny Omega’s One Winged Angel at AEW All In 2026 this past August. Speaking to 1010XL, Ospreay called the moment “out of this world” and “mindblowing.”

At AEW’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, Ospreay challenged for the AEW World Championship against Omega in his home country of England. During the epic bout, Ospreay emphatically kicked out of Omega’s devastating finishing move — a finisher that has been fiercely protected over the years, with only legends like Kota Ibushi and Omega himself having previously escaped it.
“Kenny’s Trust” Elevated Him to Legendary Status
Ospreay made clear that the kickout meant far more than just a near-fall. “That I won Kenny’s trust, because a lot of that comes down to how much he wants to protect it,” he explained. “Where does that put me? It just elevates me up to a legendary status that I will never fully be able to express my gratitude for.”
Having a moment like that “with someone that I do generally look at as a hero of mine” left the champion overwhelmed. “To have that was just out of this world, mind blowing,” he said. “I’m just super grateful for it.”
One of All In’s Defining Moments
The All In 2026 showdown between two of the best wrestlers of their generation delivered a match fans will talk about for years, and the One Winged Angel kickout instantly became its most replayed sequence. In an era of protected finishers, Omega trusting Ospreay with the spot is a testament to the respect the champion has earned.
It is yet another reason Ospreay’s current reign as AEW World Champion feels like the defining run of modern wrestling — built on the shoulders of giants he has now stood alongside.
