Kelly Reilly has confirmed that Dutton Ranch season 2 will begin filming at the start of 2027, delivering the news in a surprise appearance at the Paramount UK Upfronts. The Yellowstone spin-off has already become one of the biggest hits on Paramount+, pulling in huge global numbers with its first season.

Kelly Reilly Announces Dutton Ranch Season 2 Filming at Paramount Upfronts

Reilly took the stage in front of an audience of executives, advertisers and press to share the production timeline, revealing that cameras will roll on the second season of the Yellowstone spin-off in early 2027. The announcement landed just two and a half weeks after the Skydance mega-merger, giving Paramount’s new era an early headline moment.

The swift season 2 renewal spoke volumes about the show’s performance. The greenlight came while two episodes of season 1 had yet to stream, a clear sign that Paramount+ had complete faith in the continuation of the Dutton saga.

What Dutton Ranch Season 2 Follows

Dutton Ranch picks up with Reilly’s Beth Dutton starting afresh, charting a new chapter for the character after Yellowstone’s five-season run wrapped in 2024. The spin-off surrounds her with heavyweight talent, including Annette Bening, Ed Harris and Cole Hauser returning as Rip Wheeler.

The numbers explain the confidence. Dutton Ranch drew 12.9 million viewers worldwide during its first week of release, instantly placing it among Paramount+’s top original performers and proving that the Yellowstone audience followed Beth into her next story.

When Will Dutton Ranch Season 2 Release?

With filming set for the start of 2027, a premiere later that year looks like the most likely window, though Paramount has not confirmed a release date. Reilly, a native Brit addressing the London crowd, looked fully at home owning the next phase of the franchise she helped define.

The Dutton universe shows no signs of slowing down, and with season 2 locked in well ahead of its first-season finale, Paramount+ is clearly betting big that audiences want more of Beth Dutton.
