Conrad Thompson still wants to do an ECW podcast with Joey Styles — and he believes the former ECW voice could be the promotion’s equivalent of Bruce Prichard or Tony Schiavone, if the timing ever lines up.

Conrad Thompson Still Wants an ECW Podcast With Joey Styles
Since leaving the wrestling business in 2016, Joey Styles has kept his wrestling-related appearances to a minimum. But Thompson has not given up on the idea. Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Thompson said the two keep in touch a few times a year, and the conversation always circles back to podcasts.
“I think he’s waiting for some milestones in his current career before he can make such a decision,” Thompson said. “Doesn’t want to risk the big bag for the small bag and I get that. Let’s let the main thing be the main thing for a bit.”
Why Joey Styles Could Be ECW’s Untold Voice
Thompson’s pitch is simple: Styles is one of wrestling’s great untold storytellers. “But I loved ECW and I thought he could be those voices. He hasn’t written a book, he hasn’t done a bunch of shoot interviews,” Thompson said. “Much like the world hadn’t heard Bruce Prichard’s stories, and they hadn’t heard any of Tony Schiavone’s stories, Joey could sort of be the ECW equivalent.”
“I would still love to do that when the time is right,” Thompson added — leaving the door firmly open for a project ECW fans have wanted for years.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Thompson also addressed his controversial Roman Reigns take, which continues to stir debate among fans.
