“Father’s Secret” follows Tae Sung, an ordinary young man whose life is upended after he uncovers a secret his father has been hiding. As he digs deeper into his family’s past, Tae Sung is dragged into an unexpected incident that pulls him closer to the truth.
Father’s Secret film cast and characters
Suho stars as Tae Sung, while Park Hee Soon plays his father Gi Soo, a seemingly ordinary family man concealing an unusual past. Ra Mi Ran takes on the role of Tae Sung’s mother Sun Hee, who protects her family while running a small shop, and Han Ji Eun plays Jin Seo, a figure standing at the center of the story.
Yun Jero’s first feature screenplay
The film marks the first feature-length screenplay by director Yun Jero of “Beautiful Days,” who will both write and direct. Filming begins in November, with the film currently slated for release next year.

What Suho’s action turn means
For Suho, Tae Sung is a notable step into full-throated action territory. As the leader of EXO, much of his acting work has lived in drama and romance; headlining a film where an ordinary young man is thrown into danger by his father’s buried past gives him a darker, more physical register to play in. With Park Hee Soon as the father hiding an unusual past and Ra Mi Ran as the mother holding the family together from behind a small shop counter, the film is built on family secrets as much as on action set pieces.
“Father’s Secret” also marks an important debut behind the camera: it is Yun Jero’s first feature-length screenplay, with the “Beautiful Days” director handling both writing and directing duties. With filming starting in November and a release targeted for next year, expect casting and production news to keep coming.
