Packers vs Panthers Final Score: Green Bay Survives Late Panthers Push
The Panthers made a game of it late, but Green Bay’s second-quarter surge proved decisive. After Carolina took an early 10-6 lead on a 1-yard Chuba Hubbard touchdown run, the Packers answered with back-to-back scores: a 1-yard Jacobs plunge and a 24-yard Love strike to Matthew Golden for a 20-10 halftime lead.
Love finished 30-of-41 for 288 yards with three touchdowns and an interception, connecting with Tucker Kraft (12 yards), Golden (24 yards) and Jacobs (4 yards) for scores. His 4-yard touchdown pass to Jacobs in the third quarter pushed the three-time Pro Bowl back over 10,000 career yards from scrimmage.
Jacobs salvaged his night with the two scores despite a tough outing on the ground, rushing 21 times for just 39 yards while adding six catches for 13 yards. Bryce Young’s late 26-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Coker made it interesting, but Carolina could not close the gap, and the Packers moved to 5-3 while the Panthers fell to 3-4.
One concern for Green Bay: wide receiver Christian Watson, who had six catches for 100 yards, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of a chest injury during the first half.
