Tickets for Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua’s fight at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium have sold out in just one hour.

Fury and Joshua will meet on a bill that begins on 11 December but they are not expected to fight until the early hours of 12 December.

The highest-priced tickets were available at £13,128, including booking fees, with the lowest at £88.50.

The all-British heavyweight contest, which will be broadcast globally on Netflix, was announced in September and around 80,000 tickets went on sale at 12:00 BST on Friday.

Just minutes after the tickets went on sale more than 500,000 people were waiting in the online queue.

Tickets quickly began emerging on resale websites, with ringside VIP seats being advertised for £73,645, while upper tier seats were available for £425.

Ringwalks are expected to start around 01:00 GMT on Saturday 12 December, following a short live music performance, and the stadium will remain open until 03:30.

The event is being promoted as a collaboration between Saudi boxing powerbroker Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and UFC chief Dana White.

Organisers are yet to confirm any of the undercard fights.

Arsenal 2-1 Leeds: A decisive moment of real quality – but Mikel Arteta still has issues to address

Published

Arsenal won the league last season in part because of their excellent defence.

The Gunners conceded the fewest goals in the league but have already conceded five in six games.

The partnership of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba is one of the best in the world and Arsenal look to be missing the injured Frenchman’s calmness.

Ezri Konsa was brought in from Aston Villa for £55m and, despite his quality, is still getting used to his new surroundings.

Left-back Calafiori, though, has proved integral to Arsenal‘s attacking threat. His equaliser against Leeds was his first league strike this term but no defender has been involved in more Premier League goals than the Italian (one goal, two assists).

“The last time we put our shirts on, something was missing.” added Arteta.

“And we need to be very conscious of that. From being exceptional and being the champions to being extremely average, like in that game, is a really thin line.

“So if you don’t want it more than the opponent, you are not able to cope emotionally with certain situations, you’re going to suffer.

“And we all suffered and we didn’t enjoy that game, but then you have to learn the lesson and we certainly done that.

“We speak about it and you could sense that there was something in those tummies.”
