Robert Pattinson Shares Update On ‘The Batman Part II’: “We Are Going To Figure It All Out”

Published

The Batman Part II suffered another setback when production on the DC superhero film was paused.

Now, the film’s star Robert Pattinson is sharing an update on the future of the Matt Reeves-directed movie.

“Yeah, we’re pausing for a little bit, and then we’re going to figure it all out,” Pattinson told Official Pop Drop while promoting Primetime.

On Monday, October 5, Deadline reported that the studio released a statement about the pause.

“Production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter,” the studio said in a statement. “Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”

The cast of The Batman sequel includes Robert Pattinson, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell returning respectively as Batman, Alfred and Penguin, with new additions Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Jayme Lawson, Charles Dance, Gil Perez-Abraham and Sebastian Koch.

During the premiere for The Drama earlier this year, Pattinson teased The Batman sequel, telling Deadline, “The script is extraordinary. I think it’s going to be a really, really special movie and very, very different.”

Pattinson noted that the sequel to the 2022 DC Studios film will be different from the first, which was something he was surprised by, adding, “It’s going to be interesting seeing it come out. It’s taking some big swings.”

The Batman Part II is still set for release on February 18, 2028, for now.

‘World’s Most Evil Prisoners’ Becomes Radial Original For Season 4

Published

on

EXCLUSIVE: World’s Most Evil Prisoners, the British-produced crime series, is becoming a Radial Entertainment original.

The ten-part fourth season of the show from UK producer Woodcut Media will go out exclusively on Radial in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with Woodcut International selling it elsewhere, beginning at MIPCOM Cannes this week. Production began in September ahead of a planned 2027 premiere.

World’s Most Evil Prisoners is part of the World’s Most Evil franchise, which already runs on Radial. Seasons 1 to 3 of the show are already on Radial’s free-streaming services.

“Each series in the World’s Most Evil franchise offers a different lens on criminal behavior,” said Cristina Guggino, VP, Originals & Content Partnerships at Radial. “Prisoners examines how offenders manipulate and harm people behind bars, where confinement changes their methods and who is vulnerable. Season 4 digs deeper into those dynamics, building on what makes the series such a compelling part of the franchise.”

World’s Most Evil Prisoners takes a look at offenders doing life sentences, who go on to torture, kidnap and even kill while inside. Through the accounts of victims, friends and family, journalists and police, the series examines the dangerous prisoners.

“Each episode of this gripping series delves deeper into the psychology behind these harrowing crimes, uncovering never-before-seen cases while maintaining sensitivity toward the victims’ families,” said Koulla Anastasi, Managing Director of Woodcut International. “We are thrilled to announce Season 4 in partnership with Radial and look forward to presenting to buyers during MIPCOM.”

The deal was negotiated by Katie Carroll, Director, Originals & Business Development for Radial Entertainment, and Koulla Anastasi, for Woodcut International.

Radial, which is backed by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, has a library of more than 75,000 movies and episodes in genres such as true crime, reality, animation, action and westerns. Yesterday, we reported Radial is reviving horror and suspense brand A Haunting for a new 16-part series.

Kate Beal’s Woodcut, meanwhile, makes shows such as Confessions of a Female Serial Killer, The Murder of Meredith, World’s Most Evil Killers and Britain’s Most Evil Killers and Fiennes: Return to the Wild.

Ego Nwodim Reacts To Shane Gillis’ Controversial ‘SNL’ Joke: “Whore Reporting For Duty”

Published

on

Ego Nwodim is firing back at Shane Gillis after a sexist joke during his Saturday Night Live monologue.

The SNL alum took to Instagram to jab at the stand-up comedian after his controversial joke on the NBC late-night sketch show.

“Whore reporting for duty,” Nwodim captioned her Instagram Stories post as she took a selfie during her workout.

Hours later, Nwodim shared an update with a photo of her post-workout meal, adding, “Getting my 30 grams of protein after heauxing.”

Gillis hosted SNL on Saturday, October 10, and made a joke during his monologue that has gotten everyone abuzz.

“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t know women just dress like whores now?” Gillis said on the late-night show.

He continued, “Look, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe [it]. Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. The shorts. Have you seen the shorts? Those neon, they’re like artificial bait-colored. And the wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combined at the butthole. And don’t look, you’re not allowed to look. For real, don’t look because they are filming. I’m in the background of like 10 TikToks right now.”

Dan Levy also took to social media to address the joke, saying, “Women wearing short shorts at the gym does not make them whores. It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There’s a difference there. By the way, I’ve seen more men’s nipples at the gym than I’ve ever seen women showing their bodies off.”

He continued, “I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need to be standing up in opposition to it because it’s complacency that has created the environment in which women are sexually assaulted and it’s a ‘conversation’ as opposed to a ‘crime.’”

RJ Mitte Death: Bryan Cranston Mourns Breaking Bad Co-Star

Published

on

Almost 20 years after Breaking Bad began, Bryan Cranston tonight lamented the death Monday of the man who played his son on the acclaimed series.

“I’m in deep despair as I write this tonight. RJ Mitte, my sweet son on Breaking Bad has died,” Cranston said on his Instagram feed today. Actor and disability-rights activist Mitte died Monday at the age of 34 at his home in Brownsville, Texas

In his post Cranston mourned Mitte, who played Walter White Jr, to the fictional father who sometimes went by his meth kingpin moniker of the surname German physicist Werner Heisenberg. Praised as one of the great TV series ever, the multi-Emmy winning Vince Gilligan created Breaking Bad ran from 2008 to 2013.

As Cranston wrote tonight, Mitte “was only 14 years old” when the show started production.

“That kid was pretty raw when we started shooting the pilot in February of 2007, but little by little we watched him grow into a really fine actor,” Cranston said of his co-star. “He parlayed his experience on the show to be a vocal advocate for performers with disabilities, and was the head of a philanthropic organization with a focus on helping the disabled community.”

“All that promise and potential now is such a loss.”

Noting his on-air son’s cause of death, Cranston added: “It is especially devastating to hear that he took his own life. Why? We were texting each other just a few weeks ago – figuring out when we could meet for lunch. I don’t know if that lunch would have changed his future…”

“But I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series, and after the spotlight on Breaking Bad dimmed…

I’ll miss you, son.”

Along with co-stars Anna Gunn and Aaron Paul, Cranston and Mitte were together on stage at the 2024 SAG Awards in a BB reunion of sorts. The quartet were presenting the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Breaking Bad actually won that particular SAG Award in 2014.

An autopsy of Mitte will be performed in the coming days, Cameron County officials said Monday
