Married After 45 Days, Divorced After 4 Months – Korean Actress Opens Up on Panic Disorder Struggle

Lee Seon Jeong made the candid revelation on October 16 in a YouTube video titled “Master Bae Ki Sung X Student Lee Seon Jeong. From ear-pleasing vocal lessons to Lee Seon Jeong’s drunken revelations!” During the relaxed chat, she introduced singer Bae Ki Sung as “an oppa I really like,” then shared how much he helped her through her struggles.

A Whirlwind Marriage and Painful Split

Back in 2012, Lee married TV personality LJ just 45 days after they started dating — a rushed decision she later deeply regretted. The marriage lasted roughly four months before the couple split, plunging her into what she described as unbearable pain.

“It was so hard back then that I wanted to die, and I suffered greatly from panic disorder,” she admitted. Her vulnerability struck a chord with viewers, many of whom praised her honesty about a topic still heavily stigmatized in Korean entertainment.

Finding Support and Moving On

One person who stood by her during those dark days was Bae Ki Sung. “Back when I had panic disorder and was going through a hard time, he often went out to exercise with me and sang a lot with me,” she recalled, expressing her gratitude for his friendship.

Looking back after 14 years, Lee said time has softened the wounds. “After 14 years have passed, I’ve become a bit numb, and I think, ‘It can happen,'” she reflected, showing a hard-won sense of acceptance about her past.

When the production team jokingly asked about her circle of female celebrity friends, she laughed it off: “I have many unnies around me. Please wait.” The lighthearted moment capped an interview that swung between painful honesty and warmth — a reminder that even brief chapters can leave lasting marks.
