WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is still full steam ahead in Riyadh, at least if the construction crews are anything to go by. New footage circulating online shows work already underway on the massive Riyadh Season Stadium ahead of the November 7 event, even as security concerns in Saudi Arabia grow louder by the day. The scale of the site is already clear, with crews spread across the huge construction zone with just over two weeks left before showtime.

The venue is still in the early stages of being assembled, and there is plenty of work left before WWE can move in and start building its own production setup. But the activity sends a clear message: on the Saudi side, preparations have not slowed down one bit despite everything happening off the field. With roughly two weeks to go, the race to finish the stadium is well and truly on.
WWE Crown Jewel 2026 Riyadh Stadium Plans and TKO’s Backup Option
The footage arrives days after TKO Group executive chair and CEO Ari Emanuel addressed the situation publicly. Speaking on Fox News, Emanuel confirmed Crown Jewel remains scheduled for Riyadh while the company monitors developments daily, insisting that nothing has been canceled so far. He pointed to this weekend’s UFC event in Abu Dhabi and a Frieze art show in November as evidence that business continues as usual across the region.
But Emanuel also confirmed WWE is not flying blind. TKO has a dedicated team monitoring the situation around the clock, and Crown Jewel could be relocated if holding the event in Riyadh becomes impossible. “Yeah, we have a whole team kind of working on this,” Emanuel said, describing the monitoring as a daily process with relocation options actively being mapped out.
Security Concerns Mounting Around WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia
The caution is understandable. The U.S. Embassy issued a security alert on October 22 urging Americans to exercise “extreme caution” at Saudi airports following attacks by the Iran-backed Houthis. King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh remains suspended according to the alert, while airports in Jeddah and Dammam are operating with delays and cancellations. U.S. government employees in Saudi Arabia currently need special authorization just to use the country’s airports.
None of that has prompted WWE to announce a change of plans, and the construction footage suggests the Saudi side intends to be ready for November 7 regardless. Whether the finished stadium will actually host Crown Jewel or serve as the world’s most elaborate backup plan remains the question everyone is watching.
