Gunther is not happy about Danhausen getting his own special edition of WWE SmackDown, and he is already promising to do something about it. WWE is advertising next week’s show as Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown, but Gunther thinks the whole thing is ridiculous, and he is warning that he will be there on October 30 to make sure Danhausen has a night to remember.
Although Gunther did not appear on the October 23 episode of SmackDown, WWE released an exclusive backstage interview with Cathy Kelley that did not air during the broadcast. That is where Gunther made his feelings about Danhausen very clear.

Gunther Mocks Danhausen’s Halloween SmackDown Special
Kelley brought up the announcement of Danhausen’s Halloween-themed SmackDown special, but Gunther immediately interrupted her and demanded to know what it was supposed to be. Once Kelley explained that it likely had something to do with Halloween, Gunther was not impressed.
“Okay, yeah, sure. I get what we’re doing. Well, first of all, I hate Halloween,” Gunther said. He then turned his attention directly to Danhausen, mocking WWE for giving him a special night and suggesting the company was only doing it to make him feel included.
“Special night for the underprivileged weirdo. Everybody get together, make him feel like he belongs in a space where he doesn’t belong,” Gunther said. “Make him feel special. But nobody cares about that.”
Gunther Promises a Very Special Night for Danhausen on October 30
Gunther was not finished. Before ending the interview, he made it clear that he intends to show up next Friday and personally get involved in Danhausen’s big night.
“You know what, Cathy? I’m going to be there next week and I’m going to make sure it’s going to be a very special night for a very special boy,” he said.
That sounded like a pretty direct warning. He did not explain exactly what he plans to do, but he certainly does not sound interested in letting Danhausen enjoy his Halloween special. WWE has already announced two championship matches for the October 30 show, with Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams and Chelsea Green defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella. Now Gunther has confirmed he will be there too, and his comments suggest Danhausen could have another problem waiting for him.
