Athletes across the sports world went all out for Halloween 2026, and there was no shortage of creative costumes — with Golden State Warriors forward Yaxel Lendeborg and U.S. soccer star Trinity Rodman earning top honors, per ESPN.

Lendeborg’s Michael Myers Look Stole the Show
The standout was Yaxel Lendeborg, who pulled up to the Chase Center ahead of the Warriors-Lakers matchup in full Michael Myers mode from the Halloween franchise — a navy blue jumpsuit, the signature white mask, and even a dummy knife. ESPN described the 24-year-old as looking menacing, and he was widely hailed as one of the best-dressed athletes of the night.
Rodman’s Double Halloween Costumes
Trinity Rodman also drew plenty of attention this week. The Washington Spirit star revealed a “sexy Patrick” take on Patrick Star from SpongeBob SquarePants on October 28 — pink long-sleeve bodysuit, green shorts, black fishnets, knee-high leather boots and Patrick-framed glasses — captioning the post “Halloween is the best.” She later had fans in awe with a mermaid costume as well.
Across the Sports World
The NHL lived up to its “National Halloween League” nickname with team parties across the league, while the Detroit Lions, San Jose Sharks and C.D. Guadalajara all joined the festivities. Some teams kept traditions alive — including one player who once again dressed as a hot dog — while others went the Jersey Shore route with their partners.
