Jon Stewart Says RFK Jr. ‘Abandoning’ Wife During WHCD Is a Family Tradition
Jon Stewart roasted Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after the health secretary appeared to leave wife Cheryl Hines behind during the evacuation at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
During Monday’s monologue for “The Daily Show,” the comedian weighed in on the shooting incident that took place Saturday evening, highlighting the many ways the different senior officials were whisked out of the room amid the chaos.
Specifically, Stewart called out Vice President JD Vance’s “‘Dancing with the Stars’ quickstep,” as well as Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth for “dropping a smoldering Blue Steel” on his way out.
Yet, Stewart had quite the field day reacting to Kennedy’s exit, as it showed him being ushered away by several Secret Service agents as the health secretary’s wife was left to fend for herself.
“RFK Jr. being whisked away by a Secret Service hive, who apparently couldn’t spare one worker bee for, I don’t know, his wife,” Stewart said before playing footage of the moment. “Do you see right there? There’s a group of men carrying another man out of the room. And then there’s a woman, who appears to be … desperately reaching out for someone to care, to help her.”
“The woman reaching up in agony and fear, that’s RFK Jr.’s wife,” he continued. “By the way, if there’s one guy in that entire room who seems like they would be impervious to physical damage, it’s f–king RFK Jr.”
As Stewart went on, he quipped that Kennedy looked “like a guy who is trapped between being Bruce Banner and the Hulk.”
But Stewart didn’t stop there, as he then compared Kennedy’s actions to how Stephen Miller responded, seemingly using his body to protect his pregnant wife, Katie.
“May I show you the tape again? I want to show you something. Pay attention to the foreground,” Stewart said. “The guy right there, shielding the pregnant woman from danger, that’s Stephen Miller and his wife. Stephen Miller carefully protecting his wife.”
At this moment, Stewart called out Kennedy, jokingly reminding the health secretary that protecting his wife was “an option.”
“You can protect your wife instead of, I don’t know, beating her to the escape pod,” he quipped. “And the guy who outshined you is Stephen f–king Miller … That’s who was more chivalrous.”
Before moving on, Stewart took one last shot at RFK Jr., suggesting it would be “a new addition to the ‘Kennedy Family Abandoning Women To Their Fate’ Wikipedia page.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I’m sorry,” Stewart said in response to his studio audience’s groans. “Too soon or too many? … Seriously, I’m not wrong. Look it up. F–k.”
Watch Stewart’s full monologue for yourself above.
“The Daily Show” airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central.

Hunter Biden Calls Trump the ‘Singular Existential Threat’ to Planet Earth
Hunter Biden doesn’t have plans of running for office himself, but he still has some strong opinions when it comes to the presidency. In fact, President Joe Biden’s son just called President Donald Trump “the singular existential threat” to planet Earth.
During his wide-ranging interview with BBC Newsnight’s Paddy O’Connell on Friday, the 56-year-old artist opened up about receiving a pardon from his father during his last weeks in office back in December 2024 — and how Trump’s behavior may have impacted the decision.
“I am the most privileged person, as it relates to that, that there could possibly be. I was one of one, and I am eternally grateful for it,” Hunter shared. “I am eternally grateful for it because I think that Donald Trump has proven to be exactly who my dad thought he was going to be, as it relates to the revenge and retribution that he would seek on his political enemies.”
“Was it good for our Constitution? Was it good for the American people? Was it good for my dad’s legacy? No, on all counts,” he further admitted.
President Biden pardoned his son just weeks ahead of his sentencing on tax evasion and federal gun charges. At the time, Trump called the act “an abuse and miscarriage of justice.” A year and half later, Hunter remains equally unimpressed by his father’s successor (who was also, notably, his predecessor).
“I’m not going to stop talking about Donald Trump,” he concluded. “Donald Trump is the singular existential threat to this globe. Donald Trump is, literally, a greater threat than we have faced in any of our lifetimes.”
Elsewhere in his interview, Hunter fought tears while sharing a painful update on his father’s prostate cancer metastasizing to his bones: “My dad is, to this day, remains the center of our family. Not just because of who he is as the the public person, but completely because of who he is to each one of us. It’s really, really hard and it’s really sad to watch.”

‘One Night Only’ Director Understands “Sex Purge” Comparisons
While One Night Only is intended as a romantic-comedy, there are some obvious dystopian undertones that audiences can’t ignore.
Director Will Gluck recently addressed online comparisons between the Purge franchise and his new Universal rom-com, which is now in theaters, about two New Yorkers (Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner) who meet on the one night a year premarital sex is legal.
“I am very aware of the online discourse about this world and this movie being the ‘sex Purge,’ and rightfully so,” he told SlashFilm. “But I don’t want this movie to be about that. And I know I get some blowback going, ‘How could you make a movie about this not being about that?’ Because I love exploring characters and situations.
Gluck added, “Whenever us humans get put in situations, no matter how or why the situation happens, we still have to be humans and get through the day. And that’s what interests me. So we didn’t want it to overwhelm. We wanted to explain it. We didn’t want to take a side. We wanted to show both sides, but we wanted it to be about these two people going through this crazy night.”
With five movies and a TV series expanding on the universe since The Purge premiered in 2013, the Blumhouse franchise is set in an alternate reality where all crime, including murder, is legal one night a year for 12 hours.

In a similarly dystopian fascist universe, albeit with a much lighter mood, One Night Only follows recently dumped pizzeria owner Owen (Turner) and singer Allie (Barbaro) meet on the one night of the year premarital sex is legal under the United States’ “chastity mandate.”

Perez Hilton in Serious but Stable Condition After Self-Harm Livestream
Perez Hilton’s condition remains “serious but stable” as of Saturday afternoon, four days after he was hospitalized following an apparent incident of self-harm that was livestreamed on TikTok.
“There are many false and inaccurate reports circulating in the media regarding Perez and the circumstances surrounding this situation,” his team shared in a weekend update. “We want to confirm that Perez remains hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act. His communication has been extremely limited and confined to immediate family, medical providers and others directly involved in his care.”
“He has not communicated with the media or issued any public statements. The only statements regarding Perez that should be considered credible and authorized are those published directly on PerezHilton.com,” they continued. “Perez’s condition remains serious but stable. He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days. His treatment and recovery will be a long process. We are grateful that Perez was able to spend time with his mother and sister yesterday. As our family remains focused on Perez’s treatment and recovery, we also need the space and privacy to care for everyone affected by this situation.”
On Thursday, Hilton’s loved ones revealed that his three children were removed from their Miami home on Tuesday “just minutes” before he began seemingly cutting himself with a knife on TikTok Live. The celebrity gossip blogger has since been able to communicate with his family, and they continue to ask for privacy.
“There is absolutely no reason for members of the media or the public to remain outside the family’s home. We again respectfully ask members of the media to leave the home and surrounding area, stop following family members and cease photographing Perez’s children. We also ask photo agencies not to purchase, publish or distribute any photographs of the children that may have been taken,” their new statement added. “For more than a decade, PerezHilton.com has maintained a ‘no kids policy,’ meaning the site does not publish photographs of children unless they are attending a public event or their family has chosen to make those photographs public on social media.”
“Perez’s children remain safe and are being cared for by immediate family,” they concluded. “Please allow them and the rest of the family the peace and privacy they desperately need during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for your continued support, compassion and understanding.”
