Madoka Magica -Walpurgisnacht: Rising- Anime Film’s 3rd Trailer Reveals 2 New Magical Girls, More Staff – News

Aniplex started streaming on Thursday the third full trailer for Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgisnacht: Rising– (Gekijōban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten), the official sequel to the Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion film. The trailer revealed two new magical girls and their voice cast. The trailer also announced additional new and returning staff members from the original anime series and films.

Shion Wakayama voices the new magical girl Shichōka (left in image above), and Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Selma Therese.

Yukihiro Miyamoto (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, Arakawa Under the Bridge) is directing the film.

The returning cast includes:

The anime film will feature a returning staff from the original anime series and films, including original creators Magica Quartet, chief director Akiyuki Simbo, scriptwriter Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus, original character designer Ume Aoki, animation character designer Junichirō Taniguchi, composer Yuki Kajiura, alternate space designer Gekidan Inu Curry, and animation studio SHAFT.

The anime film will open on August 28.

SHAFT first hinted at a new work in the franchise through a concept movie in 2015, but the film was only announced in April 2021.

The film has suffered numerous previous delays, the most recent of which happened in January due to production circumstances, delaying the movie from a planned opening in February. Prior to this most recent delay, the film was previously slated to open in Japan in winter 2024, but was delayed in August 2024 to winter 2025, before the delay to February 2026.

The television edition of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal compilation films began airing in October 2025.

The original 12-episode Puella Magi Madoka Magica television anime premiered in January 2011, and Crunchyroll later streamed the series. The Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal compilation films opened in Japan in October 2012, and then the Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion sequel film opened in October 2013. Aniplex of America released the television series, two compilation films, and the sequel film in North America. Funimation also streamed the series.

A television anime adaptation of the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story smartphone game premiered in January 2020. The anime’s second season premiered in July 2021. The third and final season debuted in April 2022.

The smartphone game launched for iOS and Android devices in Japan in August 2017, and was free to play with optional in-game purchases. The English version launched in the United States and Canada in June 2019. The English version of the game ended service in September 2020, and the Japanese version ended service in July 2024.

The Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra smartphone game launched in March 2025, following a delay from 2024 for the staff to “ensure even higher quality in the final game.” The game got a version for PC via Steam in July 2025.

Dungeon Farm Manga Artist Mozukuzu Launches New Manga – News

Manga adaptation of Mizuho Itsuki‘s Kemomimi Miko no Isekai Jinja Saikō-ki novel launched on Monday


The 157th issue of Kadokawa‘s Dengeki Daioh G magazine launched Mozukuzu‘s new Kemomimi Miko no Isekai Jinja Saikō-ki: Kami-sama ga Kureta Kiseki no Chikara no sei de Matsurare Sugite Komattemasu (The story of a shrine maiden with animal ears reviving a shrine in another world: I’m Troubled by Being Worshipped Too Much Because of the Miraculous Power a God Gave Me) manga on Monday. The manga is an adaptation of writer Mizuho Itsuki (Management of a Novice Alchemist (light novel) and illustrator risumi’s novel of the same title.

The story centers on high school girl Suzuka Mimori, who works as a shrine maiden at her family’s shrine. One day, she gets caught up in a mysterious vortex and is transported to another world. There, she receives a letter from the enshrined deity. The god, who was once worshipped as a divine beast but is now forgotten, wants Suzuka to serve as a shrine maiden and gather worshippers again. For Suzuka to do that, the god gives her a mysterious power that lets her perform “miracles,” plus fox ears and a tail (based on the god’s preference?).

Kadokawa published the original novel in September 2024.

Mozukuzu launched the manga adaptation of Ryūichi Suzuki‘s Dungeon Farm: Kicked Out of My Home, So I’m Homesteading in a Dungeon! light novel series in Square Enix‘s Gangan Online website in August 2023. The manga ended with its fourth compiled book volume that shipped in October 2025. Square Enix‘s Manga UP! Global service published the manga in English digitally.

Now That I Can Control Reality With A Mouse Cursor Anime’s English Dub Debuts on October 4 – News

WWWave Corporation‘s anime streaming platform OceanVeil announced on Monday that the English dub of the television anime of Okumaro‘s Now That I Can Control Reality With A Mouse Cursor, I’m Gonna Click Away On The Girls! (Mouse Cursor de Genjitsu o Sōsa Dekiru Yō ni Natta node, Onna no Ko o Ippai Click Shima~su, or Click Me All Over) manga will debut on the service on October 4 alongside the Japanese television premiere.

The anime is part of the AnimeFesta programming block in Japan. The anime will debut on television in Japan on October 4 at 25:00 (effectively October 5 at 1:00 a.m.) on Tokyo MX and BS11. The anime began streaming in Japan earlier on AnimeFesta starting on September 11. OceanVeil also began streaming the anime on the same day.

OceanVeil describes Now That I Can Control Reality With A Mouse Cursor, I’m Gonna Click Away On The Girls! anime’s story:

Takumi, an ordinary otaku, is sitting in IT class when he notices something impossible: his computer mouse cursor has sprung right out of the screen and into the real world! Panicked, he asks his bossy childhood friend Mone if she can see it, but she just brushes him off. Realizing the cursor is completely invisible to others and under his control, Takumi decides to test it out by slipping it between the gaps in Mone’s clothes and clicking away!

As Mone writhes from the unfamiliar sensation, Takumi uncovers a floating real-life context menu featuring incredible controls like “Cut”, “Paste”, “Double Sensitivity Mode”, and even “The Real Deal” (if he can earn enough Click Points!). But keeping his new powers a secret isn’t easy. Between accidental wardrobe malfunctions caused by ‘Cut’, mysterious classmates pursuing him, and art club presidents who might actually see the cursor, Takumi’s clicking spree is about to set off a wild, slapstick chain reaction!

Kazuya Nakamura is the anime’s planning and executive producer, Reiga Goto is the producer, Studio Hōkiboshi is producing the anime, and Suiseisha is credited for production. Makoto Sokuza is the director, Eeyo Kurosaki is overseeing the series scripts, Minakawa Akapiv is the character designer, and Harimasu is the chief animation director.

Okumaro began serializing the manga on the ComicFesta service in March 2024, and Suiseisha published the manga’s fourth volume on September 18. Coolmic is publishing the manga in English under the title Click Me All Over.

Katsuwo Launches Manga Adaptation of Renren Ii’s Ōja no Ban Kuruwase Shōgi Novels – News

Manga creator Katsuwo launched a manga adaptation of Renren Ii’s Ōja no Ban Kuruwase: Net Shōgi no Teiō, Real Taikai de Chōjō o Mezasu (Underdog Upsets the King) light novels in the November issue of Kadokawa‘s Dengeki Daioh G on Monday. The issue’s front cover will also feature the manga.

The story centers on Mikado Watanabe, an introverted high school student who maintains a double identity online as the so-called “King of Self-Destruction,” a high level online shōgi player who makes even pro players shudder. Mikado joins his high school’s shōgi club after a series of strange events, enter the amateur shōgi tournament Kōryūsen, and begins his rise in the game outside of the Internet, alongside his fellow club members.

Renren Ii launched the originals story’s serialization in Kadokawa‘s Kakuyomu website in December 2023, and the story is ongoing. Kadokawa published the story’s first print volume on March 21, with illustrations by Fujiko. The third volume shipped on August 24, and the fourth volume will ship on November 20.

Katsuwo launched the #Zombie Sagashitemasu (#ImLookingForZombies) manga in Kadokawa‘s Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine in June 2022. Kadokawa published the third and final compiled book volume in January 2024. Yen Press licensed the manga. The manga is getting a television anime that will debut on October 3. Crunchyroll will stream the anime.

Katsuwo‘s Mitsuboshi Colors manga inspired the television anime of the same name, which premiered in January 2018. Sentai Filmworks streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. 

Katsuwo launched the Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu (Solitary “__” Life, or Hitori Bocchi’s “__” Life) manga in the inaugural issue Comic Dengeki DaiohG in September 2013, and ended it in April 2021. Kadokawa published the manga’s eighth and final volume in June 2021. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation in April 2019. Crunchyroll streamed the anime.
