This year’s 39th issue of Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine published the final chapter of Kento Amemiya‘s Kinato’s Magic (Kaigeki no Kinato) manga on Monday. Shueisha also announced that the manga’s third and fourth compiled book volumes will ship simultaneously on October 2.

Viz Media and Shueisha‘s MANGA Plus service both simultaneously publish the manga in English digitally. MANGA Plus describes the series:

In a world teeming with magic, young Kinato yearns for adventure! But his special magic power happens to be…seitai healing?! When adventure does come his way, will Kinato be able to use his minor healing abilities to become a hero?!

Amemiya launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump on February 2. Shueisha published the manga’s first volume on June 4 and the second volume on August 4. 

Amemiya’s Shadow Eliminators (Ruirui Senki) manga was first published as a one-shot in Shueisha‘s Shonen Jump GIGA magazine in 2021. The manga started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2023, and it ended in April 2024. Viz Media and MANGA Plus both published the manga in English digitally.

‘Kaze wo Tsugumono’ Announces Additional Cast

The official website for the Kaze wo Tsugumono (Inherit the Winds) original television anime announced additional cast members on Wednesday. The anime series will premiere in January 2027 at 11:30 p.m. on the Agaru Anime programming block on CBC and TBS’ 28 affiliated stations.

Shinpachi Nagakura: Ryouhei Kimura (Grand Blue)

Heisuke Toudou: Ayumu Murase (Chainsaw Man)

Sanosuke Harada: Simba Tsuchiya (Burn the Witch)

Keisuke Yamanami: Takeo Ootsuka (Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu)

Kamo Serizawa: Yasuyuki Kase ([Oshi no Ko])

Tomohiro Kawamura (Neko Neko Nihonshi) is directing the anime at Drive and Live2D Creative Studio. Azuki Mashiba is providing original work cooperation. Fumi Ebina is designing the characters, while Shigeru Kishida (Rilakkuma to Yuuenchi) is composing the music.

Playwright Yutaka Narui, founder of the theater troupe Caramel Box and known for the Tachikawa Jinsuke stage play series including the Shinsengumi-themed Kaze wo Tsugumono, is penning the script for the anime. Narui is also co-credited for the original work with Aniplex.

A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2’s New Video Previews Ending Song – News

The official website for the second season of the anime based on Wookjakga‘s A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special (Kikansha no Mahō wa Tokubetsu Desu in Japanese) Korean webtoon presented a new promotional video for the anime on Wednesday. The video announces and previews the anime’s ending theme song “Everlasting” by singer-songwriter krage.

The new season will premiere in Fuji TV‘s “+Ultra” programming block in October, and it will run on Wednesdays at 24:45 (effectively, Thursdays at 12:45 a.m.). The first season began re-airing on Fuji TV and Kansai TV in July.

Crunchyroll will stream the new season.

The rock band FLOW returns to create the “Sorrow” song specifically for the new season’s opening theme.

The anime’s cast includes:

Taishi Kawaguchi returns to direct the anime at Arvo Animation, nad Takamitsu Kouno (She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, Absolute Duo, We Without Wings – Under the Innocent Sky) returns to oversee and write the scripts. Hiromi Katō (Violinist of Hamelin, Kobato., Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut) is designing the characters, and Daisuke Negishi is the art director. Kenta Higashiohji (Pole Princess!!) returns to compose the music.

In a time when the Shadow World has taken over and most of humanity is wiped out, a party of six heroes strives and fails to save the world… But magician Desir Herman is given a second chance when he opens his eyes and finds that he’s gone back thirteen years in the past! The first season of the anime debuted in October 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in English-speaking, Latin America, and European countries, along with an English dub.
