Gelpiyo Anime Gets Sequel on October 21 – News

Tokyo MX announced on Thursday that the Gelpiyo television anime of industrial company Taica‘s Gelpiyo mascot character will get a sequel that will premiere on the Tokyo MX1 channel on October 21.

The regular cast members from the previous anime return to their roles. The new guest cast members include Park Yu Chun as a fortuneteller, and RIP SLYME hip hop group artist SU as himself.

Silent Siren performs the anime’s opening theme song “Atta UMA,” while NEVER END ROLL performs the anime’s ending theme song “Ganbatterutte Saikō Jan!” (Giving it Your All is the Best, After All!). Silent Siren‘s vocalist and guitarist Suu/Sumire Yoshida and bassist Ainyan/Aina Yamauchi are also playing the members of the in-story band trio Si Si Piyo (an apparent nod to Silent Siren), while NEVER END ROLL‘s member Airi Mizushima plays the in-story idol Neve En Piyo (an apparent nod to NEVER END ROLL).

In the story, Gelpiyo and similar characters contain the “Alpha Gel” quality that allow them to bounce back after any setback. They are sent out by Alpha Industry to the mysterious Geltown to further the company’s plot of world domination. There, they plan to raise trouble, even though they constantly get involved in events in the town.

The first anime debuted on January 21, and aired 10 episodes. The anime also streamed on R Channel at the same time.

Taica is known for its “Alpha Gel” technology, a shock-absorbing gel that the company manufactures.

“Toilet fantasy comedy” manga from Angel Drop manga creator launched in January 2024

Kadokawa announced on Friday that Chizuna Nakajima‘s Elf-Sensei no Toire wa Doko Desu ka? (Where is the Elf Teacher’s Toilet?) manga is getting a television anime adaptation.

Nakajima drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement:

The story revolves around the elf teaching trainee Eruru, who has come from another world. She finds she can only relieve herself in the lush forest.

Nakajima launched the manga in Kadokawa‘s Comic Cune magazine in January 2024. The manga will resume serialization on Saturday.

Kadokawa published the first compiled volume of the manga in July 2024, and published the second volume in February 2025.

Nakajima launched the Jitensha no Onee-san (The Bicycle Lady) manga in Comic Cune in September 2019 and ended it in September 2020. Kadokawa published two volumes for the manga.

Nakajima launched the Angel’s Drop (Tenshi no Drop) comedy manga on Holp Shuppan‘s Flex Comix Blood site in 2011, but after Flex Comix Blood shut down a year later, the manga moved to the Comic Meteor website. The manga ended in December 2013. The manga inspired a television anime special from director Kōji Itō and the anime studio AIC Frontier in 2013.

Manga ‘Elf-sensei no Toilet wa Doko desu ka?’ Receives TV Anime

WWWave Corporation‘s Deregula animation label announced a television anime adaptation of Chizuna Nakajima‘s Elf-sensei no Toilet wa Doko desu ka? (Where Is the Elf Teacher’s Toilet?) on Friday, revealing a pair of commemorative illustrations by the original creator (pictured above and right).

Nakajima began serializing the comedy ecchi series in Comic Cune in January 2024. The series entered hiatus in January 2025 and is scheduled to return on September 26. Kadokawa published the second volume in February 2025.

Synopsis

Eruru is an elf visiting from another world for her teaching practicum at an all-boys school. However, she has a problem; elven rules stipulate that she can only relieve herself in a place with abundant nature! Welcome to the heart-pounding, suspense-filled fantasy comedy about…needing to use the bathroom?!

Stop President ‘Dramp’s’ Ambitions in New Mahjong Game for Switch – Interest

Gyuwanburā Jikochūshin-ha Doranpu Teikoku o Wakarasero! (Self-Centered Gambler: Teach the Dramp Empire a Lesson!), a new mahjong game parodying United States President Donald Trump, went on display at the Success booth during the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2026 this week. Along with the demo at TGS 2026, the company Success presented a promotional video for its game:


The game features 20 characters from the Gyuwanburā Jikochūshin-ha franchise by veteran mahjong manga creator Masayuki Katayama. It also adds two new opponents: Great Dramp and Elon Musg — Dramp’s greatest collaborator whose company Laste is developing a gasoline-powered mahjong table. The story begins at Nankuru Prison on an otherwise uninhabited Okinawan island, but then shifts to Dramp Tower in Manhattan.

Success is set to release the game in October on the Nintendo Switch for 5,280 yen (about US$34). The company has not announced if the game will be available internationally.

Katayama launched the original Gyuwanburā Jikochūshin-ha manga in Kodansha‘s Young Magazine in 1982. The Gyuwanburā Jikochūshin-ha game series began in 1987, and now boasts almost two dozen entries nearly four decades later.
