Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance Film Reveals 5th Teaser Trailer, Visual, Cast Member – News
The official website for Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance (Heart’s Resonance), the all-new feature-length anime film sequel to the Expelled from Paradise film, debuted the new film’s fifth teaser trailer and fifth key visual on Wednesday. The video previews the action and “Fallen,” a mysterious entity threatening the space station DEVA.

The website also announced that Sumire Morohoshi will play Penem.

The film will open in Japan on November 13. The franchise is also spawning a new game with an original story this winter.
While the original announcement of the film had featured the title Rakuen Tsuihō: Liberated from Paradise, a later announcement listed the title as Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance as well as Rakuen Tsuihō: Kokoro no Resonance instead.

The film reunites the main staff of Expelled from Paradise, including director Seiji Mizushima, scriptwriter Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus, character designer Masatsugu Saitō, and composer NARASAKI. Toei Animation is producing the animation.

Expelled from Paradise debuted in 13 theaters in Japan in November 2014, and sold 110,000 tickets. The film’s Blu-ray Disc and DVD release in Japan sold more than 70,000 copies. The film won the Best Animation of the Year Award at the 24th Japan Movie Critics Awards in May 2015.
Aniplex of America released Expelled from Paradise in 15 theaters across the United States in December 2014. The company then released the film on Blu-ray Disc in North, Central, and South America in June 2015.
The film returned to theaters in Japan in November 2024 in 4K resolution as Expelled from Paradise -Impelled by 10th Anniversary- to commemorate the film’s 10-year anniversary.

Bandai Namco Filmworks announced at San Diego Comic-Con International on Thursday that Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Star Wars: Visions‘ “The Ninth Jedi”, Eden of the East), is directing the new Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO anime at Sola Animation for release next year. Kamiyama is also in charge of the series scripts, and Toh Enjoe (The Ghost in the Shell, Godzilla Singular Point, The Empire of Corpses) is collaborating on the world-building in the anime’s science fiction setting.
The Gundam RG XARX-ZERO anime is part of the larger RG Project, “a next-generation Gundam initiative that expands the franchise into a new universe.” The previously announced Gundam Rogue Orbit game is also headlining the project, although the game’s story is set 90 years after the Gundam RG XARX-ZERO anime. (The “RG Project” is not to be confused with “Real Grade,” an advanced level of model kits that Bandai sells for the overall Gundam franchise.) Kamiyama teased at San Diego that there are elements in the project besides the anime and the game.

The three revelations delivered by the Autonomous Interstellar Object from another galaxy ushered in an age of unprecedented prosperity, allowing humanity to expand across the entire solar system.
Gravity Control. FTL Communication. Cognitive Materialization. Yet less than ten years after its discovery, the Object that had delivered these three revelations suddenly ran rampant, spawning an aggressive, self-proliferating ecosystem.
Humanity came to see this unknown ecosystem as the Apocalypse.
For three months, humanity fought the Apocalypse to a standstill in orbit above Earth. Forced to abandon the planet, humanity marked that year as A.A. 1—the first year After Apocalypse.
By A.A. 45, children born on the Moon and in space colonies have never known life without the Apocalypse.

Kamiyama appeared in person at the Comic-Con International panel and confirmed in a separate message that the RG Project is set in a new timeline, separate from the first Gundam anime’s Universal Century:
When I was approached with the idea of creating “a Gundam set in an entirely new timeline, one that is neither the Universal Century nor the Common Era,” I found myself wrestling with all sorts of questions. What would replace the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon? What would become of the Newtype concept? What about Minovsky particles? And where did war fit into all of this? The more I turned over the question of what fundamentally makes Gundam “Gundam,” the further I drifted from the creative excitement that should have been driving the project. So I stepped back and reminded myself: I had been given the chance to create my own Gundam from the ground up for a series I’ve loved for years. What could be more exciting than that? Once I found my way back to that excitement, a fresh and unexpected Gundam began to take shape. That Gundam is Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO.
Takeo Ōtsuka voices Ray Azumi, “the permanently assigned pilot of the Gundam Zero and war orphan who lost his parents in an Apocalypse attack.” Otsuka presented a message about his casting:
It is a tremendous honor to be part of a new entry in the Gundam series. Director Kamiyama’s story gave me plenty to think about with every episode, and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge as I approached each recording session. I’m also incredibly excited to see how this project unfolds as a media-mix project spanning both anime and video games. I hope you’ll look forward to Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO!
Eiichi Shimizu (Linebarrels of Iron), who created the 2011 Ultraman manga which Kamiyama adapted into several anime, is designing the Gundam units. Stato drafted the original character designs, and Miyako Takasu is adapting those designs for the animation’s character designs and is serving as chief animation director. Gō Shiina (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, God Eater, Tales of Zestiria game) is composing the music. Joseph Chou and Yasufumi Kobashi producing.

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will begin streaming the English dub for the One Piece anime’s Elbaph arc this fall in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
The Elbaph arc debuted in Japan on April 5. Crunchyroll is streaming the arc.
Singer Aina The End performs the opening theme song “Luminous,” and rock band 36km/h perform the ending theme song “Sono Mirai” (That Future).
Toei Animation and One Piece anime producer Ryūta Koike announced in October 2025 that the anime was reducing its annual episode output to a maximum of 26 episodes moving forward starting in 2026. Following the conclusion of the Egghead arc last year, the anime took a three-month production hiatus from January-March 2026. The anime returned in April 2026 for the first of two cours (quarters of a year) with the start of the new Elbaph arc.
According to Toei Animation, the new schedule allows episodes to “incorporate more content, tempo, and pacing of the manga while continuing to leverage the unique storytelling that is only possible with animation.” Historically, with only few exceptions, the anime has aired most weeks since its premiere in 1999. However, the pace has slowed considerably over the years.
The Egghead arc in the anime debuted in January 2024. In mid-October 2024, the franchise announced that the anime’s Egghead arc would pause to “recharge,” and then the arc would continue in April 2025. Part 2 of the Egghead arc premiered with its first episode (1,123rd overall episode) on Fuji TV on April 5, 2025 and aired alongside a recap episode of Part 1 of the Egghead arc. The second episode (1,124th overall episode) aired on April 6, 2025 with its new timeslot at 11:15 p.m. JST (10:15 a.m. EDT).
During the Egghead arc’s break, One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga; a 21-episode abridged version of the Fish-Man Island arc of the anime with reshot scenes, retouched art, and other improvements; aired in its place.
Netflix will begin streaming “all seven episodes” of the first season of The One Piece, Wit Studio‘s remake of the One Piece anime, worldwide in February 2027. The seven episodes will recount the story from the first 50 manga chapters over the course of about 300 minutes.

The 83rd Venice Film Festival announced on Friday that the live-action film of Tatsuki Fujimoto‘s “Look Back” one-shot manga will screen in competition at this year’s event.
The Venice International Film Festival will take place from September 2-12 in Venice Lido, Italy.
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) will screen the film’s North American premiere. TIFF will take place on September 10-20. The festival will reveal its release schedule on August 11.
The film opens on September 11 in Japan.
GKIDS will release the film in theaters in 2026 in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland.
Hirokazu Kore-eda (Shoplifters, Our Little Sister, Air Doll) is directing and editing the film, and is also writing the screenplay. Yūta Bandō (BELLE, Kaiju No. 8, also known as Taku Matsushiba) is composing the music.

The 79th Cannes International Film Festival showcased the film on May 15.
The anime film of Fujimoto’s “Look Back” one-shot manga opened in theaters in Japan in June 2024. It ranked at #2 in terms of ticket sales (but #1 in weekend earnings) in its opening weekend. The film sold 135,000 tickets and earned 227 million (about US$1.40 million) in its first three days.
GKIDS screened the film in October 2024 in North America. The film earned US$688,253 at the U.S. box office in its opening weekend.
Fujimoto debuted the one-shot manga on Shueisha‘s Shonen Jump+ in July 2021. The manga had over 2.5 million views on its first day. Viz Media and MANGA Plus launched the manga digitally in English. Viz Media published the manga in print in September 2022. The company describes the story:
The overly confident Fujino and the shut-in Kyomoto couldn’t be more different, but a love of drawing manga brings these two small-town girls together. A poignant story of growing up and moving forward that only Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator of Chainsaw Man, could have crafted.
Fujimoto (Fire Punch) debuted the Chainsaw Man manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018 and ended its “first part,” the “Kōan” (Public Safety) arc, in December 2020. The manga’s second part, titled “Gakkō-hen” (School Arc), started on Shueisha‘s Shonen Jump+ service in July 2022, and it ended on March 24 (March 25 in Japan).
