The Big Brother competition is in full swing on CBS, and Julie Chen Moonves returned for the third live eviction of the season.

Kamu Kirk was the Head of Household (HOH) of the week, and a chaotic week soon started.

As HOH, Kamu put up three housemates for eviction: LaTrice Verrett, Lyric Medeiros, and Mallory Aurichio. After the Veto competition, Lyric pulled off a win and used the power on herself to take herself off the block.

With Lyric off the block, Kamu would have to name a replacement nominee and put Jason De Puy up for eviction.

Not all was lost for the three nominees as they still had another shot at safety with the BB Block Buster competition. On live eviction night, the trio would compete, with the winner gaining safety and taking themselves off the block.

Leonard Ouzts Comedy Special ‘Lil Sumn Sumn’ Sets Release Date

EXCLUSIVE: Virginia comic Leonard Ouzts‘s new special, Lil Sumn Sumn, is set to release exclusively on Gorilla Comedy+ on August 10 before heading to 800 Pound Gorilla‘s YouTube channel on September 10 at 7 p.m. CT.

In Lil Sumn Sumn, Ouzts blends family stories with discussion of dating struggles, pop culture takes, and assorted social observations. Growing up as a military brat in Chesapeake, Virginia, he reflects on life with a Navy father, living in Japan after 9/11, and navigating parents returning to college while raising him. Stories on family dynamics include being bribed with McDonald’s to keep secrets and coping with the loss of his mother before his father quickly remarried.

Currently based in New York City, Ouzts has been featured on platforms ranging from Comedy Central to HBO to MTV. He was named a New Face at Just For Laughs Montreal in 2015 and made his late-night debut on Conan to a standing ovation the following year. His debut comedy special, The Big Joker, is currently available to stream on 85 South’s YouTube channel.

Of his new hour, the comic said, “You ever been to Texas Roadhouse? Well this is MY cinnamon butter rolls while I finish cooking the main course! It’s just a ‘Lil Sumn Sumn’ to put on your stomach.”

Outside of stand-up, Ouzts has appeared on Netflix’s Master of None and NBC’s Abbey, also appearing in films like Standing Up and Falling Down (with Billy Crystal and Ben Schwartz), Like Father (with Kelsey Grammer and Kristen Bell), and Set It Up (with Lucy Liu).

When he’s not on the road or on set, he hosts Young, Black, and Funny, a live comedy show series he co-founded with friend and fellow comic Vincent Bryant.

CBS Sports Analyst Tony Romo On Leave After Arrest For Alleged DUI

CBS Sports NFL analyst Tony Romo has been put on leave following his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.

“Tony Romo is on leave from his role at CBS Sports until further notice,” a statement from the network read.

CBS said that JJ Watt will join Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson as CBS Sports’ lead NFL team during Romo’s absence. They plan to release the rest of their NFL on CBS roster at a later date.

Per the Associated Press, Romo, a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, was arrested on July 23 after he was stopped by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office on I-43. An open bottle of alcoholic beverage was found in the passenger side of the vehicle, per the AP. He was taken into custody after field sobriety tests.

Romo, 46, joined CBS in 2017 after he announced his retirement. He signed with the Cowboys in 2003.

Bob Yari’s Magenta Light Studios Nabs Lockjaw Dark Comedy

Magenta Edge Films, the new specialty label from Bob Yari’s Magenta Lights Studios, has picked up Sabrina Greco’s dark comedy Lockjaw.

Greco’s first feature about life with your mouth wired shut bowed at Slamdance last year and is set to hit theaters from Aug. 8, before a VOD and digital release on Sept. 8.

“Magenta Edge Films moved quickly to bring Lockjaw into its early slate following its festival run. The film heralds a bold and witty voice in independent cinema that immediately stood out to us. The film is genuinely funny, with a sharp comedic voice and a confidence that marks a strong feature debut from Sabrina Greco. Supporting filmmakers and their creative voices is at the core of Magenta Edge, and we are excited to champion Sabrina and help bring her film to audiences.” Bill Vergos, head of digital film distribution at Magenta Light Studios and Magenta Edge Films, said in a statement.

Lockjaw stars Blu Hunt as Rayna, Colin Burgess as Mitch, her new boyfriend, Kevin Grossman as Noah, Nick Corirossi as the magician Robert, Ally Davis as artist Cleo, Sally Sum as Annabelle and Lena Redford as Genevieve. “Six weeks after a drunk-driving accident that left her jaw wired shut, Rayna tries to have a fun night out with her friends. Over the course of a wild night, she strains existing relationships and makes new enemies,” a synopsis from the film’s producers states.

Greco added in her own statement: “I wanted to capture the feeling of being trapped in a mental spiral you can’t escape. The wired jaw became an inspired device, limiting speech but not expression, allowing for a bold performance in a heightened, playful world. Made in just 11 days with a small, passionate team, the film reflects the grit of microbudget filmmaking. Partnering with Magenta Edge gives films like ours a real opportunity to be seen, and I’m thrilled for this next chapter.”

Greco wrote and directed the offbeat comedy, with Abbie Jones producing and Miranda Kahn, Josh Jason, Ryan Kampe, Molly Gilula, Video Expert and Riccardo Maddalosso sharing executive producer credits. Yari earned a best picture Oscar in 2006 for Crash, and his other film credits include The Illusionist, Possession and Resurrecting the Champ, while also directing Papa: Hemingway in Cuba.

His Magenta Light banner has recent releases like Bride Hard, Strange Darling and Protector, and also picked up James McAvoy‘s feature directorial debut, California Schemin’. In early 2026, Yari unveiled his specialty offshoot Magenta Edge to acquire and release indie films on theatrical and ancillary platforms.

The distribution deal for Lockjaw was negotiated by Bill Vergos and C.J. Vranca for Magenta Edge Films, with Ryan Kampe of Visit Films representing the filmmakers.
