Itsuki Fujioka to launch manga spinoff Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita My Dish on September 30

The website for the television anime of Yuu Tanaka and LLO‘s Reincarnated as a Sword (Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita) light novel series revealed on Sunday the September 30 streaming debut, October 7 television debut, and a new key visual for the anime’s second season. HIDIVE began streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the season that previews its opening theme song and reveals its ending theme song.

FZMZ performs the opening theme song “Dream of Butterfly” and Hanabie. performs the ending theme song “Baribari Buddy.”

The anime will first debut on the ABEMA streaming service on September 30, before airing on television on the Tokyo MX and ABC TV channels on October 7.

Itsuki Fujioka (romanization of manga creator’s name is unconfirmed) will launch a manga spinoff for the franchise titled Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita My Dish on Micro Magazine‘s Comic Ride service on September 30.

HIDIVE will stream the anime as it airs in Japan, and will screen the North American premiere of the new season on August 22 at Anime NYC. The panel will feature director Shinji Ishihira and producers Yōsuke Shimada and Genta Ozaki

The company describes the anime:

Reincarnated as a sentient weapon with memories of his past life, but not his name, a magical sword saves a young beastgirl from a life of slavery. Fran, the cat-eared girl, becomes his wielder, and wants only to grow stronger, while the sword wants to know why he is here. Together, the strange duo’s journey has only just begun!

The first anime season premiered on Tokyo MX in October 2022 before airing on ABC TV and BS Asahi. Episodes debuted a week early ABEMA service, starting in September 2022. HIDIVE streamed the anime as it aired and also streamed an English dub.

The series stars Ai Kakuma as Fran, Shinichirō Miki as Master, and Yūma Uchida as Jean du Vix.

Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Edens Zero) returns to direct the anime at at C2C. Takahiro Nagano (Duel Masters script writer) is writing and supervising the scripts. Atsuko Saitō (Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu,  Wandering Witch – The Journey of Elaina episode animation director) designs the characters. Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music.

Tanaka launched the novels on the Shōsetsuka ni Narou website in October 2015, and Gentosha began publishing the series with illustrations by LLO in July 2016. Tomowo Maruyama launched a manga adaptation of the novels on Gentosha‘s Denshi Birz website in December 2016. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing both the original light novels and Maruyama’s manga adaptation in English. The company also launched audiobooks of the novels narrated by Josh Hurley in August 2024.

Hinako Inoue launched the Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita: Another Wish manga spinoff in June 2020 and ended it in its sixth compiled book volume in March 2023.

Sendai Books Licenses Amazoness Kiss, Never Mind Come Together Manga in English – News

European publisher Sendai Books announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday it will publish Natsuko Ishitsuyo‘s Amazoness Kiss manga and Xian Ozn‘s Never Mind Come Together manga in English.

The publisher describes the story of Amazoness Kiss:

A new exclusive club promises training and development of Extrasensory Perception for its special clients.

People sure look happy as they leave a session. Well, the ones who are allowed to leave….

Pop stardom, the occult, ambition, and unintended consequences.

Welcome to the world of Amazoness Kiss.

Ishitsuyo launched the manga on LEED Publishing‘s Torch website in 2017. LEED Publishing shipped the third and final volume in October 2020.

Sendai Books expects to ship the first volume in October, and its website states the book can ship to the United States.

The publisher describes the story of Never Mind Come Together:

Hiroshi is an average guy on the way to attend his daughter’s recital. But everything goes south when a misplaced sauce container (?) puts him in the crosshairs of a cannibal mafia boss (??) and a deadly femme fatale (???).

Never Mind Come Together is an insane pursuit where everything is happening everywhere and all at once. The minute you finish it, you’ll want to start again from the beginning!

Ozn launched the manga on LEED Publishing‘s Torch website in 2018. LEED Publishing shipped the single compiled book volume in August 2021.

Sendai Books expects to ship the manga in October, and its website states the book can ship to the United States. 

The publisher’s X/Twitter account states it ships its books for free to the European Union, with “affordable shipping everywhere else.”

Skip & Loafer Anime’s 2nd Season Reveals April 2027 Debut in Teaser Video – News

The official website for the television anime of Misaki Takamatsu‘s Skip and Loafer (Skip to Loafer) manga revealed in a teaser video the April 2027 debut of the show’s second season.

Takatsugu Wakabayashi (Dragonar Academy) is returning to compose the music with new composer MICHIRU.

Kotomi Deai (Natsume’s Book of Friends) returns from the first season to direct and oversee the series scripts at P.A. Works. Scriptwriter on the first season Yōko Yonaiyama is also overseeing the series scripts alongside Deai. Manami Umeshita (Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C3) is returning as the character designer and chief animation director. Reina Igawa is also returning as another chief animation director, and Yūsuke Inoue is returning from animation director on the first season as another chief animation director.

Other staff members on the second season include:

Junichi Higashi was previously listed as art supervisor but is no longer listed in the staff.

Crunchyroll will stream the second season.

Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga digitally and in print in English, and it describes the story:

Excellent student Iwakura Mitsumi has always dreamt about leaving her small town, going to a prestigious university, and making positive change in the world. But she’s so focused on reaching her goals that she’s not prepared for the very different (and overwhelming) city life that awaits her in a Tokyo high school. The first anime series premiered in April 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.

Takamatsu launched the manga in Kodansha‘s Monthly Afternoon magazine in August 2018.

The manga ranked #7 in manga for male readers in the 2020 edition of Takarajimasha‘s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook. It was nominated in the 13th Manga Taisho awards in 2020, and was also nominated in the Best General Manga category of Kodansha‘s 44th annual Manga Awards in 2020.

The manga received a stage musical adaptation that ran in March 2026 in Tokyo and Osaka.

Boruto Manga Takes 1-Month Break – News

Manga returns in November issue that will ship on September 18

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the Naruto and Boruto manga franchises announced on Friday that the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga will not appear in the October issue of Shueisha‘s V Jump magazine that will ship on August 21. The manga will return in the next issue, which is the November issue that will ship on September 18.

Manga storywriter Ukyō Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto launched the Boruto sequel manga in Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in May 2016, and the manga ran monthly in the magazine. The manga transferred to V Jump in July 2019. Original Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto replaced Kodachi as the manga’s storywriter in November 2020, starting with the manga’s 52nd chapter.

The manga went on hiatus in April 2023 and returned with the Two Blue Vortex arc in August 2023. Shueisha published the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga’s eighth compiled book volume on June 4.

Shueisha‘s MANGA Plus service and Viz Media are both publishing the manga digitally, and Viz Media is publishing the manga in print.

The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations television anime premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo in April 2017. The anime’s “Part I” ended with its 293rd episode in March 2023, and “Part II” of the anime has been green-lit.

Viz Media licensed the anime and streamed it on Hulu as it aired in Japan, and Crunchyroll also streamed the anime. The anime began airing on Adult Swim‘s Toonami block in September 2018. Viz Media is releasing the anime on home video.

Kishimoto launched the original Naruto manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, and ended the series in November 2014. The series has spawned multiple anime, anime films, OVAs, and game adaptations. The Naruto Shippūden anime series ended in March 2017. The manga is inspiring a live-action Hollywood film at Lionsgate.
