Jelly Roll fired back at Fox News’ Jesse Watters after the conservative commentator suggested on air that the singer had “Trump Derangement Syndrome” caused by Ozempic use.

The Grammy winner, who is serving as the guest host for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this week, weighed in on Watters’ commentary during his Wednesday night monologue, where he doubled down on his criticism of President Donald Trump amid pushback from the right.

“Well, speaking of cheese balls, let’s talk about Donald Trump,” Jelly Roll quipped during his comedic address. “The president is doubling down on his ridiculous trade war with Canada. And they’re saying this could lead to higher prices for several products, including whiskey, smartphones, but most alarmingly, toilet paper. It’s going to be a real World War Two-ply.”

He added: “But you have to admit, there is something poetic about it being so expensive to wipe our ass just because the president’s full of s–t.”

As Jelly Roll went on, he acknowledged that he’s been “poking fun at POTUS over the past few nights,” explaining he was simply “trying to fulfill my duties as a late night comedian.”

“And it’s gotten a lot of reactions from a lot of people on both sides of the aisle,” he said. “But today, I’m really starting to feel like my pal, Jimmy Kimmel, because my monologues caught the attention of the gang over at Fox News.”

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” editors then teed up footage from Watters’ broadcast, where he celebrated “TDS Tuesday,” noting he was “raising awareness for one of the most infectious mind viruses sweeping the nation.”

“Trump Derangement Syndrome. Next up to bat, Jelly Roll,” Watters said in the footage. “They should put a warning label on Ozempic. Side effects can include increased risk of TDS. If you notice signs like irritability, depression and trouble sleeping, please see a doctor.”

In response to this segment, Jelly Roll told the studio audience that Ozempic was “the only drug I haven’t tried.”

“I know it sounds unbelievable, but I lost weight the old-fashioned way. Cocaine,” he said. “No, seriously. I got in shape before the GLP1 craze started. And I’m kind of proud of the fact that I did it through diet and exercise.”

Though, Jelly Roll admitted that his weight loss pre-GLP-1 did make him feel like “a dude who bought the last horse and buggy a day before they started selling cars.”

“By the way, I can’t believe out of all the jokes I’ve told the past few nights, the one that really seemed to make people mad … was when I said [Trump] was overweight,” he sounded off. “I thought fat-on-fat crime was okay. I mean, we can debate whether this president is mentally fit, but I think we can all agree he is certainly not physically fit.”

Jelly Roll then noted that he hoped to be an inspiration for Trump, adding, “If I can lose all that weight, he can too. And in fact, there is a new medication on the market designed specifically for him.”

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” team then played a spoof ad for “Donjaro,” a parody weight loss drug just for the president. Watch Jelly Roll’s full monologue above.

The cast of Broadway’s “Rocky Horror Show” paid tribute Wednesday evening to the musical’s original star, Tim Curry, following his death at 80.

Specifically, following the Wednesday night performance of the Tony-nominated musical, actor Paul Soileau, who currently plays Dr. Frank-N-Furter (the character made famous by Curry), was joined onstage by Luke Evans, who departed the role on Sunday, and Jake Shears, who is set to step into the fishnets in September.

Together, the trio of Frank-N-Furters performed a special rendition of “I’m Going Home,” which is the final song sung by the mad scientist in the show.

In the footage, Evans, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical at the 2026 Tonys, can be seen leading the tribute performance while surrounded by the rest of the cast. Watch the video below.

Elsewhere in the tribute, Soileau took a moment to say a few words about Curry, praising him for the “beautiful” impact he had on the iconic role.

“Frank-N-Furter is a marvelous beast and Frank-N-Furter inhabits spaces and sneaks in spaces and places and old theater houses, like this, movie theaters, teenagers’ bedrooms,” he said. “The way Frank-N-Furter survives is that he finds vessels and he goes into them and takes over and he keeps moving and moving and moving all around.”

He added: “And many people in this room on this stage have been a vessel for Frank-N-Furter, and over the years. But if you trace it all back, 53 years ago, there’s one home and one vessel, one mothership, that Frank-N-Furter could actually call home and it’s Tim Curry. It’s truly beautiful.”

While Soileau credited the show’s creator Richard O’Brien for the invention of Frank-N-Furter, Soileau acknowledged that Curry took the ingredients he was given “and he created this beast that everyone found something within it, and could see a piece of themselves inside of it.”

“Tim Curry created Frank-N-Furter to express and find something deeper about himself,” he continued. “And somehow it resonated for this long with this many people in this room here right now.”

Curry, a legendary actor known for iconic roles in classics such as “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Annie,” “Clue” and “It,” died Tuesday night at his home in the Toluca Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, 14 years after he suffered a paralyzing stroke.

As word broke of his death on Wednesday morning, many of his famous friends and fans took to social media to pay tribute to him, including “Rocky Horror” co-star Susan Sarandon, who wrote, “What a funny, sexy, original he was.”

“But what I loved about him most was his heart,” she added. “Even wheelchair bound he continued to be so sweet and generous with his fans. Thank you Tim for meaning so much to so many people.”

Jeanie Buss took legal action against her siblings’ attempt to sell the family’s remaining stake in the Los Angeles Lakers, filing a petition in which she blasted them as “devious.”

Jeanie, who was tapped by her father, famed Lakers owner Jerry Buss, to succeed him and run the franchise, filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court, where she asked a judge to block her five siblings from being able to offload their shares.

Additionally, Jeanie, who labeled her siblings as “devious” in a filing obtained by TheWrap, accused them of trying to ousts her as Lakers governor by secretly brokering the deal in question.

“The devious behavior of the co-trustees, Janie and Joey, as well as James, Johnny, and Jesse, is highlighted by the fact that they never revealed their scheme to Jeanie, who was blindsided by an alleged statement of the ‘family’ published by ESPN that declared, ‘We have decided as a family to sell the remaining Buss Family Trust shares to the Bob Iger group as part of the ongoing transaction,’” the document stated. “That alleged ‘family’ statement was knowingly false: Jeanie never agreed to any sale, was never consulted and was never even informed. The statement came just days after media reports of a proposed sale by majority owner Walter of his Lakers shares to the group led by Iger and Kushner.”

Elsewhere in the filing, Jeanie called for her siblings to be held in contempt, as well as be held “liable for damages.” She specifically called out her siblings, Janie and Joey, who she demanded be removed as co-trustees from the trust that holds the Buss family’s remaining stake in the team.

 “Janie and Joey have now brazenly, knowingly and intentionally violated the 2017 Order and the express provisions of the Jo Ann 2006 ESBT by secretly signing a purported resolution—void on its face—to sell a portion of the Jo Ann 2006 ESBT’s 17.82% stake in the Lakers,” the filing noted.

Jeanie’s legal team also argued that a sale of the Lakers did not make sense, citing its “continuously skyrocketing value.”

“Indeed, other owners of stakes in the Lakers have expressed their support for Jeanie remaining Controlling Owner,” the document added. “And have voiced their intent to hold, not sell, their stakes in the Lakers.”

Per the filing, a court hearing has been set for Nov. 5.

Jeanie’s legal move came over a week after she denounced her siblings’ announcement regarding the family shares, in which they planned to sell their remaining Lakers stake to Bob Iger and Josh Kushner following their $12.5 billion acquisition.

“Shams Charania of ESPN falsely reported that the six Buss siblings voted to sell the 17.8% ownership stake in the Lakers to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger, and that my client, Jeanie Buss, is ‘out’ as controlling owner,” Jeanie’s attorney Adam F. Streisand wrote to the legal teams of her respective siblings. “This is just the latest instance of a years-long pattern whereby Joey and Jesse Buss leak false, defamatory and pernicious ‘information’ to Mr. Charania for the malicious purpose of doing harm to the Los Angeles Lakers so long as Dr. Buss’ chosen successor, Jeanie Buss, carries out her father’s wishes.”

“No sale of the JAB Trust’s 17.8% ownership interest in the Los Angeles Lakers, Inc. can be effectuated without approval by the current co-trustees, i.e., Jeanie, Janie and Joey Buss,” the letter continued. “On behalf of Jeanie Buss, I demand that your clients make clear publicly that Jeanie Buss is the Controlling Owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and that your clients shall take no action on this supposed ‘vote’ to sell the 17.8% stake.”

Yet, Jeanie’s siblings doubled down on their decision, noting in a follow-up statement, “Johnny, Jimmy, Janie, Joey and Jesse have made the decision to sell the family’s remaining stake, and we remain united in that decision. We intend to move forward thoughtfully, respectfully and through the appropriate process.”

A representative for the Buss family did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
