Trump’s Latest Financial Disclosure Shows Significant Sales Of Netflix

Donald Trump reported more than 1,000 purchases and sales of corporate securities in June, including those of Netflix, Warner Bros. Discovery, The Walt Disney Co. and Comcast.

The White House has previously said that the president’s stock and bond portfolio is independently managed.

According to the president’s latest financial report, released by the Office of Government Ethics, he sold between $50,001 and $100,000 of Netflix on June 12, another $500,001 to $1 million on June 18, between $15,001 and $50,000 on June 16, and between $50,001 and $100,000 on June 24. He bought between $1,001 and $15,000 on June 3, and between $1,001 and $15,000 on June 23.

Per the filing, the president also purchased between $50,001 and $100,000 in The Walt Disney Co. on June 18, and between $1,001 and $15,000 on June 3. He purchased between $1,001 and $15,000 in Warner Bros. Discovery on June 16. The form also showed the sale of $1,001 to $15,000 in Comcast securities on June 16, $1,001 to $15,000 on June 23, $1,001 to $15,000 on June 3, and between $100,001 and $250,000 on June 24.

The report also showed the sale of $100,001 to $250,000 shares of Amazon on June 12 and the sale of $100,001 to $250,000 on June 24. It showed the purchase of $15,001 to $50,000 of Amazon on June 15, the purchase of $1,001 to $15,000 on June 23, the purchase of $1,001 to $15,000 on June 3.

The OGE report does not require specific amounts of sales or purchases, but ranges.

A White House official did not immediately respond to a request for comment. But the administration has previously said that “all holdings are maintained in discretionary accounts and invested through computer-based model portfolios that automatically replicate recognized indexes, such as the Schwab 1000.”

The official said that Trump does not have the ability to “direct, influence, or provide input regarding how the portfolio is invested or when investments are bought or sold.”

Some of the companies have regulatory business before the Trump administration. The Justice Department approved Paramount’s proposed merger with Warner Bros. Discovery on June 12. Disney, meanwhile, is challenging the FCC over its order that it submit the licenses of its eight owned stations for early renewal. Disney filed a First Amendment lawsuit against the agency earlier this month.

Writers Guild Foundation Taps 2026 Veterans Fellowship Cohort

EXCLUSIVE: The Writers Guild Foundation has revealed the latest cohort military veterans to participate in its Veterans Fellowship program.

The 2026 program will include Jon-Alexander Genson, Kat Castañeda, Manda K. Skelton, Shain Brenden, and Shannon Corbeil.

They will be paired with five mentors: Dennis Lehane (Smoke, Black Bird), David Schulner (New Amsterdam, Memory of a Killer), Aron Eli Coleite (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Locke & Key), Dayo Adesokan (Superstore, Party Down), and Brian Studler (The Blacklist, Motherland: Fort Salem).

The goal of the intensive mentorship program is to provide educational resources, professional guidance, and career-building opportunities specifically to military veterans who are seeking a breakthrough into the television industry.

This is the program’s third year, and once again it will be led by instructor Eli Edelson, a development executive and writer. The fellowship builds on the success of the WGF Veterans Writing Project, which is a yearlong mentorship program that has helped military vets develop their screenwriting craft for more than a decade. Fellowship alumni have had scripts optioned, secured representation and landed positions on shows including Paradise, Watson, Memory of a Killer, and American Blue.

“While the industry landscape continues to be challenging, I believe there will always be a place in Hollywood for writers with incredible stories, and these five talented military service veterans have more than a few stories to tell. With the help of their high-level mentors and the community of the Writers Guild Foundation, I have no doubt they will find their place in the writers’ room before long,” Edelson said in a statement shared with Deadline.

Rafe Judkins Inks Overall Deal With Paramount Television Studios

Paramount Television Studios has closed an exclusive overall deal with The Wheel of Time creator/showrunner Rafe Judkins to create, develop, and produce original scripted series for the studio. The pact at Paramount’s streaming-focused studio comes amid an effort by the new regime at sibling Paramount+ to find a platform-defining world-building genre series.

Paramount Television Studios President Matt Thunell highlighted Judkins’ experience in the area.

“I have long been a fan of Rafe’s extraordinary writing and producing and am grateful he chose Paramount as his new creative home,” Thunell said. “We are amazed by his ability to build immersive worlds, craft action-packed stories, and realize vibrant characters. We cannot wait to build with him.”

Thunell and his team pursued Judkins for the deal, which reunites the writer-producer with Chris Parnell who is leading genre development for Paramount+ under Head of Originals Jane Wiseman. As Sony Pictures Television Co-President, Parnell developed The Wheel of Time, calling Judkins “a brilliant visionary” in the 2018 announcement of the project’s series order by Prime Video. The Wheel of Time, based on the novels by Robert Jordan and co-author Brandon Sanderson, ran for three seasons.

“Right now is a time to take risks and be ambitious in television with the kind of stories we tell and the way we tell them, no matter how big or small,” Judkins said. “That’s the kind of television I want to make, and I feel lucky to have found partners at Paramount who are also looking to expand, take risks, and create something new. I’m honored and excited to be in at the ground floor for what Matt and his team are building.”

Judkins previously had an overall deal at Sony TV where he also developed and wrote an earlier version of the studio’s game-based fantasy drama God of War for Prime Video. He began his career as a writer on the NBC drama series My Own Worst Enemy, starring Christian Slater and served as a writer-producer on NBC’s Chuck and ABC/Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He most recently created The Red Tent, based on Anita Diamant’s best-selling novel, which is in development at Netflix.

On the film side, Judkins wrote Uncharted, the top-grossing non-sequel film of 2022, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, and more recently did a rewrite on Foreign Relations, starring Glen Powell. He is repped by CAA, Kaplan Perrone, and Hansen Jacobsen Teller.

At Paramount TV Studios, Judkins joins roster of talent that includes Yellowjackets creators Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson, Iron Ocean led by Jessica Biel & Michelle Purple as well as Liz Tigelaar, under a joint deal and CBS Studios. Additionally, the Duffer brothers, Issa Rae and Jon M. Chu have Paramount pacts spanning film and TV.

Starz has released the first trailer (above) for Outlander: Blood of My Blood for Season 2, setting up a journey back in time to 1700s Scotland and the start of the Jacobite uprising. New episodes of the prequel series debut on Friday, September 18, with new episodes dropping weekly on Fridays only on Starz.

Everyone has their own war to fight in Season 2, with devastating effects as the series’ two young couples desperately try to find their ways back to each other amid brutal battles, shifting loyalties, clan politics, and the unknown elements of traveling through the infamous standing stones of Craigh Na Dun.

Season 1 of Outlander: Blood of My Blood introduced viewers to the two different love stories featuring the parents of Claire and Jamie as they met and fought to be together against all odds.

In the second season of Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the two couples are separated once again as
the Scottish Highlands are split in two by the 1715 Jacobite Rising, thrusting the clans into war
and forcing them to choose a side in the rebellion. With the fiery crosses lit, Brian and his cousin Murtagh must return to Castle Leathers and pledge to fight beside his father, the scheming Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat.

Ellen reluctantly returns to Castle Leoch to find her brothers, Colum and Dougal, feuding over how to respond to the call to arms. She cleverly devises a plan to protect Clan MacKenzie from the Crown regardless of the outcome of the uprising. Meanwhile, Henry and Julia Beauchamp, finally reunited after their unexpected journey back in time left them lost and separated, are ready to return to their time and their daughter, Claire.

When their plan goes horribly awry, the couple is parted once again. Separated from his love and
hope, Henry must grapple with his mental health, as he fights to find his way back to Julia, who
is forced to return to Castle Leathers and contend with her sinister husband, Lord Lovat.

The series stars Jeremy Irvine as Henry Beauchamp and Hermione Corfield as Julia Beauchamp, Claire’s parents; and Jamie Roy as Brian Fraser and Harriet Slater as Ellen MacKenzie, Jamie’s parents. In addition, the cast also includes Tony Curran as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat; Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie; Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie; Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser; and Conor MacNeill as Ned Gowan.
