Disney+ raised its price for monthly subscriptions to its streaming platform on Wednesday. The price for the subscription tier with ads increased from US$11.99 to US$12.49, while the Disney+ Premium ad-free tier increased from US$18.99 to US$21.49. Hulu subscriptions with and without ads feature the same price increases. The price for the Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads remains at US$12.99, while the Premium bundle for both services without ads rose from US$19.99 to US$21.99. The Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select Bundle increased from US$19.99 to US$21.99, and the Premium bundle’s price rose from US$29.99 to US$32.99.

The updated prices apply to new subscriptions as of Wednesday. Current subscribers will get a price change on or after October 21.

The streamer previously raised its prices in October 2025, and before that raised its price in October 2024. Disney+ also raised its prices and revealed plans to restrict password sharing for accounts in October 2023.

Disney+ announced in August 2025 that it is “fully integrating” the Hulu streaming service, along with a new singular app with both Disney+ and Hulu services, which will launch in 2026. The subscription services will remain standalone, but both Disney+ and Hulu will be accessible from the unified app. Disney already offers bundles including both Disney+ and Hulu. In addition, a significant amount of content, including anime, from the Hulu library already streams on the Disney+ for subscribers of both.

Disney owns 100% of Hulu, after acquiring Comcast‘s 33% stake in Hulu for US$8.61 billion in 2023.

Before Disney acquired the entirety of Hulu, anime that streamed on Disney+ internationally would stream in the U.S. on Hulu instead. Currently, anime still stream on Hulu, but now also stream on Disney+ for subscribers of both services.

Crunchyroll revealed last week that it will screen Dive in Wonderland (Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland-, or With Alice in Wonderland: Dive in Wonderland-), which the staff initially described as Japan’s first anime film adaptation of Lewis Carroll‘s classic children’s novel Alice in Wonderland, in select theaters for one day only on November 16 as part of its “Crunchyroll Anime Nights” program dedicated to screening anime across the U.S. The company streamed an English-subtitled trailer:

The film’s story centers on Rise, a modern-day girl who somehow stumbles into Wonderland and meets Alice.

The film opened in August 2025.

Toshiya Shinohara (Black Butler, A Lull in the Sea, The aquatope on white sand) directed the film at P.A. Works. Yūko Kakihara (Blue Box, Urusei Yatsura 2022, The aquatope on white sand) penned the script. Shochiku and TBS are listed as production coordinators.

Lewis Carroll‘s Alice in Wonderland book centers on a girl named Alice, who one day follows a talking white rabbit into a rabbit hole, and ends up in a strange Wonderland where she has surreal encounters with its mercurial rules and denizens. The book has become one of the most referenced works of literature in pop culture, with elements and motifs appearing in virtually every medium, including anime, manga, and video games.

The book previously inspired Nippon Animation and Apollo Film‘s 1983-1984 television anime adaptation.

Global Stage Hollywood confirmed with ANN on Thursday that it will screen the world premiere for the second episode of the television anime of Toshiaki Iwashiro‘s Psyren manga at the Global Stage Hollywood Film Festival on October 3 at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California. The first episode will also screen its West Coast premiere during the event. The company revealed to ANN that the manga’s original creator Iwashiro will be in attendance.

The anime will debut on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 4 at 11:00 p.m., before airing later that evening on Sun TV. Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide excluding Japan and China.

The anime stars:

Katsumi Ono (Symphogear AXZ, Symphogear G, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V) is directing the anime at Satelight. Shin Yoshida (Naruto Shippūden, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX) is overseeing the series scripts, and Akira Ōkuma (Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus; Demon Lord, Retry! R) is designing the characters. Composers include: Takashi Ōmama (Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight AXIS, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury), Tatsuhiko Saiki (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, I Parry Everything), and Shū Kanematsu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses).

Iwashiro serialized Psyren in Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2007-2010. Viz Media released all 16 volumes in English from 2011 to 2014.
