Hornets' Kon Knueppel injures hamstring, will likely miss start of NBA season
Kon Knueppel, the second-year Charlotte Hornets sharpshooter who last season became the first rookie to ever lead the NBA in 3-pointers made, suffered a hamstring injury during the offseason that will keep him out of the entire preseason and, likely, the beginning of the regular season.
The Hornets announced Friday that Knueppel and forward Grant Williams will be re-evaluated during the first week of the regular season, which begins in a little more than a month. Knueppel’s injury is to his left hamstring, while Williams’ is to his right. The NBA season begins Oct. 20.
