The staff for the anime of Hitsuji Gondaira‘s Mission: Yozakura Family (Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen) manga revealed a new promotional video for the anime on Friday. The video reveals five new cast members for the anime.

The second part of the second season will premiere on MBS, TBS, and 26 other channels on October 11 at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 a.m. EDT). 

The rock band Humbreaders performs the new anime’s opening theme song “Forever Song,” and dance and vocal group KID PHENOMENON performs the new ending theme song “I’m Still Breathing.”

Disney describes the anime’s story:

High school student Taiyou Asano has been socially inept ever since his family died in a car crash. The only person he can properly interact with is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura—the head of the world’s strongest family of spies. Mutsumi’s eldest brother, Kyouichirou Yozakura, has been overprotective of her ever since he once rendered her severely injured. His love for Mutsumi is lethal, and Taiyou is his next target. To survive, Taiyou must marry Mutsumi and become a member of the Yozakura family. Thrown headfirst into chaos, Taiyou begins his journey to become a powerful spy in order to protect his wife and uncover the dark secrets of his past and the Yozakura family.

For the current season, Mirai Minato is now the chief director of the anime at SILVER LINK, and is again overseeing the series scripts. Takahiro Nakatsugawa, who worked as a storyboard artist and episode director on the first season, is directing the anime. Other returning staff includes character designer Mizuki Takahashi, composer Kōji Fujimoto, and sound director Tōru Kanegae.

The second season premiered on April 12 on MBS, TBS, and 26 other affiliated channels during the “Nichigo” programming block, which runs on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. JST (4:00 a.m. EDT). Hulu streams the new season. The second season’s first part ended with the anime’s overall 39th episode on June 28.

The first season premiered in Japan in April 2024 on MBS, TBS, and 26 of their affiliate channels. Disney streams the anime through the Hulu service with an English dub in the United States. The series also streams on Prime Video and Netflix in Japan.

Gondaira (Demon Prince Poro’s Diaries) launched the manga in Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August 2019. The manga ended its serialization in January 2025. Shueisha published the 29th and final compiled book volume in March 2025.

Viz Media simultaneously published the manga in English digitally since its debut in Japan. Viz Media then began publishing volumes digitally in December 2020, and began releasing the series physically starting with the first volume in October 2022. Shueisha‘s MANGA Plus service also released the manga digitally in English.

The franchise also includes several novels.

The staff for the Duel Masters LOST anime series revealed the main promotional video on Friday for the anime’s fourth part, Duel Masters LOST ~Danzai no Shōnen~ (The Sentencing Boy). 


The above video reveals and previews Tsukuyomi‘s ending theme song “Tuitachi feat. Yoshino.”

The staff also revealed two more cast members:

The anime will debut on October 9. The series will have four episodes, and will stream on the Duel Masters official YouTube channel and other services. New episodes will debut every other week on Fridays at 9:00 p.m. JST.

The anime will feature a returning cast. Nina Tamaki will voice the character Lost Kōzaki (name romanization not confirmed). Tamaki previously voiced a “mysterious boy” in the previous anime. 

Riki Fukushima is returning to direct the new anime at J.C. Staff and SMDE, with animation production supervision by Yūji Matsukura. Yōichi Katō is returning to oversee the series scripts. Chikara Hashizume is returning to design the characters, and Go Sakabe is returning to compose the music.

Based on the long-running Duel Masters trading card game, Yō Kanebayashi and Shigenobu Matsumoto‘s Duel Masters LOST Tsuioku no Suishō (Duel Masters LOST: Crystal of Remembrance) manga launched in February 2024 and ended in March 2024. Kanebayashi and Matsumoto then launched the Duel Masters LOST ~Gekka no Shinigami~ (Duel Masters LOST: Reaper of the Moon) manga in August 2024, and ended it in February 2025.  Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~, the third part of the manga, debuted in September 2025.

Duel Masters LOST ~Danzai no Shōnen~ (The Sentencing Boy), the fourth part, debuted on March 26, and ended on July 2. The manga’s fifth part, titled “Shitsuraku no Duel,” debuted on September 17.

The net anime adaptation of Duel Masters LOST Tsuioku no Suishō debuted in October 2024 and had four episodes. The anime of Duel Masters LOST ~Gekka no Shinigami~ debuted in December 2024 and ended with its fourth and final episode in February 2025.

The anime of Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~ debuted on February 6 with a four-episode streaming run.

“Toilet fantasy comedy” manga from Angel Drop manga creator launched in January 2024

Kadokawa announced on Friday that Chizuna Nakajima‘s Elf-Sensei no Toire wa Doko Desu ka? (Where is the Elf Teacher’s Toilet?) manga is getting a television anime adaptation.

Nakajima drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement:

The story revolves around the elf teaching trainee Eruru, who has come from another world. She finds she can only relieve herself in the lush forest.

Nakajima launched the manga in Kadokawa‘s Comic Cune magazine in January 2024. The manga will resume serialization on Saturday.

Kadokawa published the first compiled volume of the manga in July 2024, and published the second volume in February 2025.

Nakajima launched the Jitensha no Onee-san (The Bicycle Lady) manga in Comic Cune in September 2019 and ended it in September 2020. Kadokawa published two volumes for the manga.

Nakajima launched the Angel’s Drop (Tenshi no Drop) comedy manga on Holp Shuppan‘s Flex Comix Blood site in 2011, but after Flex Comix Blood shut down a year later, the manga moved to the Comic Meteor website. The manga ended in December 2013. The manga inspired a television anime special from director Kōji Itō and the anime studio AIC Frontier in 2013.

Manga ‘Elf-sensei no Toilet wa Doko desu ka?’ Receives TV Anime

WWWave Corporation‘s Deregula animation label announced a television anime adaptation of Chizuna Nakajima‘s Elf-sensei no Toilet wa Doko desu ka? (Where Is the Elf Teacher’s Toilet?) on Friday, revealing a pair of commemorative illustrations by the original creator (pictured above and right).

Nakajima began serializing the comedy ecchi series in Comic Cune in January 2024. The series entered hiatus in January 2025 and is scheduled to return on September 26. Kadokawa published the second volume in February 2025.

Synopsis

Eruru is an elf visiting from another world for her teaching practicum at an all-boys school. However, she has a problem; elven rules stipulate that she can only relieve herself in a place with abundant nature! Welcome to the heart-pounding, suspense-filled fantasy comedy about…needing to use the bathroom?!
