Paramount Global Distribution Head Kevin MacLellan to Exit
Paramount’s Global Content Distribution and International head Kevin MacLellan is exiting the company following its $110 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, two individuals familiar with the matter tell TheWrap.
MacLellan, who joined the media giant’s leadership team after it was acquired by David Ellison’s Skydance last year, has overseen Paramount’s international strategy and global offices and networks, including Channel 5 in the UK and Network 10 in Australia. He’s also led the licensing of all Paramount film and television content to platforms and broadcasters worldwide.
Prior to joining Paramount, he served as NBCUniversal’s chairman of global distribution and international media, where he doubled revenue to $5 billion and oversaw $1 billion in expenses and 2,500 employees across 36 countries. He also led operations covering 120,000 TV episodes, 4,500 films, 9 streaming services, and 65 networks; struck deals with Netflix, Amazon and Sky; and helped develop and greenlight hits like “Downton Abbey,” “The Last Kingdom,” and “The Gilded Age.”
Before that, he held senior roles at Sony Pictures and HBO.
MacLellan’s departure comes as Skydance has appointed Jay Askinasi to lead ad sales, David Decker to oversee content sales and Ray Hopkins to serve as president of distribution.
Askinasi has been with Paramount Skydance since November 2025, where he has served as chief revenue officer. Prior to joining the company, he served as Roku’s senior vice president of global media revenue and growth, where he led ad sales, including enterprise partnerships, programmatic go-to-market strategy, marketing and measurement.
Before that, he was the CEO of Publicis Media Exchange U.S., overseeing media investment strategy for the holding company and its brands, including monetization of its Epsilon assets. He also led agency and platform partnerships for AT&T and was president of the mobile-focused programming advertising technology company RUN and vice president of regional sales at Undertone.
Decker, who has been a Warner Bros. veteran for more than two decades, has led worldwide licensing and distribution of the company’s film, television, animation and digital content portfolios across major global platforms. He most recently served as WBD’s president of content sales.
Hopkins, who joined CBS Corporation in 2013, has more than 35 years of experience managing Paramount’s relationships with video providers, digital and streaming platforms and CBS affiliate station groups. Prior to CBS, he served as Chief Operating Officer of YES Network.
The trio will report to Skydance TV and DTC Co-Chair and Chief Business Officer JB Perrette. Askinasi and Hopkins are also set to serve as part of the media giant’s executive leadership team.

Jenna Bans & Bill Krebs Drama ‘Pimp’ In Works At Peacock
EXCLUSIVE: Grosse Pointe Garden Society creators/executive producers Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs have teamed up for another twisty drama about everyday people dabbling into crime. The duo, who also worked together on Bans’ Good Girls, is writing Pimp, which is in development at Peacock.
In Pimp, when a married couple loses their spark, they get it back in the most shocking and controversial way – by running a sex work operation out of their upstanding Midwest community.
Bans and Krebs executive produce alongside Casey Kyber, Head of Television for Bans’ Minnesota Logging Company. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, where Bans is under an overall deal, is the studio.
Good Girls and Grosse Pointe were developed and produced for NBC but, with their unconventional tone and intricate serialized storytelling, they both excelled on streaming via their runs on Netflix and Peacock, respectively. In light of that, it makes sense for their followup to be set up at a streaming platform, in this case Universal TV sibling Peacock.
In addition to Good Girls, Bans created ABC’s Off the Map and The Family. Before that, she served as co-executive producer on ABC’s Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy and also worked on Desperate Housewives and Private Practice. Bans is repped by UTA and Yorn Levine.
Krebs worked on Bans’ The Family before he joined her on Good Girls, where he rose to executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Bans. Krebs’ series credits also include Red Band Society and Franklin & Bash. He is repped by UTA and Management 360.

Jennifer Coolidge Returns for The Watcher Season 2
Jennifer Coolidge will be returning for “The Watcher” Season 2. The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor will reprise her role as Karen Calhoun, the real estate agent who sells the Brannock family their nightmare home, in the Netflix thriller from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan.
Coolidge will join previously announced returning cast members Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale and Isabel Gravit, who play the members of the Brannock family, as well as Margo Martindale, who plays the family’s neighbor Maureen “Mo.” The first season followed Nora, Dean and their children Ellie and Carter (Luke David Blumm) after they moved into what’s supposed to be their suburban dream home… only to discover ominous letters arriving from someone who calls themselves “The Watcher.” That’s just the beginning, as Season 2 will explore more of this neighborhood’s sinister secrets.
Based on The New York Magazine Article “The Haunting of a Dream House” by Reeves Wiedeman, “The Watcher” premiered on Netflix in 2022 and quickly became a hit for the streamer. The thriller spent five weeks on its Global Top 10 English TV list and placed on the Top 10 list in more than 90 countries.
The series was created by Murphy and Brennan with Brennan serving as showrunner. Murphy and Brennan are also behind Netflix’s “Monster” anthology series, which has been viewed over 325 million times across all seasons. The fourth installment of the series, “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,” premiered in mid-September.
Executive producers on “The Watcher” include Murphy, Brennan, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Nissa Diederich, Karl Frankenfield, Scott Robertson, Todd Kubrak, Tanase Popa, Watts, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, alongside Eric Newman, Bryan Unkeless and Max Winkler. Dorsey will also direct Season 2.
