Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell also will executive produce the project, along with Schaeffer. A writers room has opened in New York, we’re told.
Amazon declined to comment.

The franchise launched in 1994 with the feature film Stargate, created by Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin. The film spawned several Stargate series – Stargate SG-1, which aired from 1997–2007, spinoff Stargate Atlantis, from 2004-2009 and Stargate Universe from 2009-2011. Animated series Stargate Infinity aired from 2002-2003.
Variety was first to report the news.

Ella Langley Cancels Tulsa Show Over “Serious Security Threat”
Ella Langley has been forced to skip the Tulsa, Oklahoma stop on her Dandelion Tour for the safety of herself and fans.
Hours before the chart-topping “Choosin’ Texas” artist was set to take the stage at BOK Center, she announced the concert’s cancellation over a “serious security threat” posed to the event.
“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.”
Langley added, “I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am. This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
The venue confirmed the cancellation on their own social media, noting that details regarding ticket refunds “will be shared as soon as possible.”
“The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and after careful consideration, we have determined that the show cannot proceed,” said the BOK Center. “We understand the disappointment this news brings and apologize to fans who planned to attend. ‘Walker’ Actor Keegan Allen Robbed & Pistol-Whipped In West Hollywood
Walker and Pretty Little Liars actor Keegan Allen was left bloodied after being robbed at gunpoint and pistol-whipped Thursday in the parking lot of a West Hollywood grocery store. He posted a video of himself after the incident that also included video of the crime.
“Robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men that threatened to kill me over my watch and would have! God said no tonight,” Allen’s Instagram post is captioned. Watch it below.
Allen was attacked while he was loading groceries into his vehicle at about 9:15 p.m. outside the Laurel Supply store at 8445 Santa Monica Blvd., near Olive Drive. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed “the victim was struck in the face with the handgun. The suspects obtained the victim’s watch and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.”
Allen’s video shows him breathing hard and with a cut on his where he was struck at least twice, blood running down one his face, neck and shirt. He was treated by EMTs at the scene but not transported to a hospital, officials said. Keegan later went to a hospital himself, fearing that he had a concussion.
West Hollywood city officials issued a statement about the incident. “West Hollywood is a compassionate and engaged community, and news of this violent robbery is deeply upsetting and unsettling,” it reads. “The city wants community members to know that community concerns are heard and taken seriously, and that public safety remains the city’s top priority. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating this incident, and additional patrols will be conducted by sheriff’s deputies and the city’s security ambassadors.”
In his video, Allen tagged Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom while expressing hope that Flock cameras mounted around the city would help in tracking down his attackers.
Allen starred alongside Jared Padalecki in The CW’s Walker from 2021-24 and recurred on Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars from 2010-17. He recently wrapped filming the lead role in Small Talk, a drama film set in the late-1970s Los Angeles music scene.

George Clooney Explains The Albies Justice Focus, ‘Ocean’s 14’ Update
The BFI London Film Festival isn’t the only big event attracting big and famous names to the British capital this week. Case in point: The Albies, the fifth annual awards ceremony organized by The Clooney Foundation for Justice, held Friday evening at London’s Museum of Natural History. Amal and George Clooney, in their roles as co-founders of The Clooney Foundation for Justice, Brad Pitt, Laura Dern, Emma Thompson, Felicity Jones, Joel Edgerton, Josh Hartnett, Rivals star Alex Hassell, Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace, Bianca Jagger, Emily Ratajkowski, Hannah Waddingham and many more brought star power to the event. And everyone was dressed to the nines.
They were joined by representatives of sponsors, such as Brad Smith, vice chair and president at Microsoft, and makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur Charlotte Tilbury, as well as talk show host Graham Norton, actors Isla Fisher, Ncuti Gatwa, Marisa Abela, Katherine Waterston, Richard Kind, Myha’la and Hugh Bonneville, musicians Vic Mensa and Jackson Browne, as well as Melinda French Gates.
Clooney told THR about why justice deserves a spotlight: “It feels like it’s in short supply, doesn’t it? It’s hard when you look around, and you see such large-scale pieces of injustice, and we, at times, start to think of it as the new normal. And it’s good to be here with people who remind us that there’s nothing normal about people not being treated fairly. There’s nothing normal about people not having their rights. And these are people that we’re honoring tonight who put their lives on the line to do that.”
The honorees’ names may not be household names, the star acknowledged. “You’ll recognize the names of the people who are introducing them,” he offered. “And each one of those people that you recognize would be thrilled to have that light shining less on them and more on the people doing things to make the world better.”
Clooney also shared a brief update on Ocean’s 14 with THR. “I think we’ll shoot a lot in London, a lot in the U.K., some in France,” he said. “I think we start in about 11 months. It’s a ways off, but the older we get, the funnier it is. We start falling down a lot.”
Waddingham told THR about The Albies: “It’s the most important night of the year in terms of the people who have a fortunate platform to give something back, and George and Amal do that in spades. The biggest point for me in terms of justice for others is those of us who find ourselves in a fortunate position helping those who face the injustices of the world, and they cannot fight for themselves.” She added: “George and Amal find them and fight for them. The stories that you hear in there are really breathtaking.”
Could her fans see her co-starring in a film or series with Clooney any time soon? “Oh, I don’t know,” she said before adding with a nod in the direction of Clooney. “Ask him!”
This year’s Albie honorees are Kyrgyz journalists Bolot Temirov and Makhabat Tazhibek Kyzy, Malawian girls’ rights advocate and shelter founder Vanessa Mwangala, U.S. wartime photojournalist Lynsey Addario, as well as Congolese human rights organization Justice Plus and Microsoft’s Smith in his role of human rights advocate.
The annual Albies ceremony looks to shine an international spotlight on “courageous individuals and organizations who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of justice, often at great personal risk.” The award is named after the legendary Justice Albie Sachs, “a hero of the anti-apartheid movement who survived imprisonment, exile and an assassination attempt in the fight for equality in South Africa,” the organization says. “Inspired by his legacy, George and Amal Clooney created the Albies to ensure that the people doing the hardest work to promote justice – often far from the spotlight – are seen, heard and protected.”
Fisher lauded the couple that brought a big crowd together on Friday. “What George and Amal do is just unbelievable. They are using their platform to stand up for what they believe in, which is just a very courageous and critical thing, particularly right now,” she told THR. “And it’s not just about raising awareness. They actually make people accountable, and that’s the really important piece.”
Ahead of his performance at Friday’s event, Mensa told THR: “I’m excited to perform tonight and grateful to George Clooney and Amal for bringing me out. I am in admiration of the sacrifices that they have made.”
And he shared insight about his performance: “I’m performing a song called ‘We Could Be Free’ that I did at the March for Our Lives [in 2018 for gun control] that they also organized.” Concluded Mensa: “Although some of the specific details that I mention in the song have shifted and the focus may be elsewhere in the world, the sentiment is exactly the same. Many of the challenges that humanity faces have always been [around].”
