Tatum Paxley has not forgotten where she came from. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion opened up about her history with Lyra Valkyria in an appearance on Off The Ropes, revealing she owes “so much” of her career to their NXT storyline together — and that she’d love to cross paths with the new version of Valkyria on Monday Night Raw.
There was a time on NXT when Paxley and Valkyria were tied at the hip, their on-screen dynamic riding through highs and lows — including a memorable moment when Valkyria returned to NXT to come to Paxley’s aid.

“I Cried When They Told Me She Was Coming Back”
Paxley recalled winning a Battle Royal to earn a shot at Jacy Jayne — one of the first big wins of her career — and learning that Valkyria would be back for that episode. “I cried,” she admitted. “Picturing the moment of her running out after the win really warmed my heart.”
Valkyria herself broke the news, teasing Paxley with a simple question: “Hey. You know what you’re doing on Tuesday?” followed by “Well, I think I’m gonna be coming to see you.” The moment left Paxley overjoyed and in tears. “I owe so much of my career and where I am right now to that storyline that I had with her,” she said.
Eyes On The New Lyra
Valkyria has since reinvented herself on the main roster, and Paxley is all in on the new character. “I knew she had it in her. That’s exactly why it was her all along,” she said. “I would love to have a long playdate with this Lyra Valkyria and get to know her.”
Paxley, now one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Alexa Bliss, clearly still carries their bond with her — goosebumps and all. Whether WWE reunites them on screen remains to be seen, but Paxley has made it clear: the door is open.
