Tatum Paxley Credits STARDOM’s Suzu Suzuki for Inspiring Her ‘Cemetery Drive’ Finisher

For the first time since joining WWE’s main roster, Tatum Paxley is a champion — and now she’s opening up about the inspiration behind her devastating finishing move. Paxley and Alexa Bliss defeated Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) on SmackDown to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Speaking with Rick Ucchino and Tommy Dreamer on Off The Ropes, Paxley revealed that her finisher, the “Cemetery Drive,” was inspired by current World of Stardom Champion Suzu Suzuki.

Months of Work Went Into the Move

Paxley explained that when she first saw Suzuki pull off the maneuver, she was instantly hooked — and spent a long time perfecting her own version of it, trying different variations until it felt right. She wanted a finish that makes people react the moment they see it, something that looks almost unreal.

The Finisher That Built a Championship Resume

The Cemetery Drive has been a career-defining weapon for Paxley. The move previously carried her to both the NXT Women’s North American Title and the NXT Women’s Title before her main-roster call-up — and now it sits at the heart of her tag-team championship run alongside Bliss.
