It was, in the words of the report, light work. The Don Callis Family trio of Jake Doyle, Josh Alexander, and Wardlow steamrolled their way through the AEW WrestleDream Tailgate Brawl, defeating Alex Breeze, Papi D & Rhys Maddox with almost insulting ease.

A Statement Squash
The finish said everything about where the Family stands in the pecking order. Wardlow laid out all three opponents with a powerbomb, and then — in a moment of pure disrespect — every member of the Family pinned a respective opponent with a foot on the chest. It was less a match and more a message: the Don Callis Family is not here to compete, it is here to dominate.
The Family Is Rolling
The momentum keeps building. Earlier in the week on AEW Dynamite, Wardlow & Doyle teamed with Mark Davis to defeat the Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Gabe Kidd & Jon Moxley) — a far bigger scalp than anyone expected. Now, with another dominant showing at WrestleDream, the Don Callis Family has established itself as one of the most dangerous units in AEW.
With the group’s chemistry clicking and their ruthlessness on full display, the question is no longer whether the Don Callis Family is a force — it is who in AEW is willing to step up and try to stop them.
