Rising girl group RESCENE are setting their sights higher than ever before. In a candid new video uploaded on October 17th, the members opened up about their growth, their recent success, and their bold ambitions for their upcoming album.
The video, titled “Unnie, did you go to the shoot without me?”, was posted to member Woni’s YouTube channel. In it, the RESCENE members reflected on their channel activities, looked back on this year’s work, and shared their plans for the future with refreshing honesty.
From Top 100 Dreams to Number One Ambitions
Woni was particularly direct about the group’s new album, saying, “Since this is truly our song coming out now, I want to be number one.” When asked if she had always held that ambition, she admitted she had not. “No. Back then, I just wanted to be in the top 100,” she confessed, adding that she once thought it would be enough for their song to simply play at a cafe while she was out.
But success has changed the equation. The attention their content has received, which led to commercial shoots and outdoor advertisements, has transformed their perspective. Woni described the whirlwind experience, saying it felt like she had closed her eyes and opened them to a changed world, and that it still feels like a dream.
The Pressure of Sudden Change
The members also spoke about the early days with touching vulnerability. Woni recalled that when they first met the YouTube production crew, she worried about what would happen if all their effort did not pay off. “What if it doesn’t work even after doing all this?” she remembered thinking.
They then shared the pressures they have felt amid the sudden changes in their lives, and how they have supported one another through it all. Rather than being overwhelmed, the group is channeling that pressure into determination. Woni concluded by expressing her resolve to take on an even greater challenge with the new album.
