On October 16, all members of BESTie shared a surprise Instagram post of themselves doing the dance challenge for their 2014 hit “Love Options” — and confirmed that the group is reuniting. The caption asked fans to keep showing them love, and fans delivered.
The Comeback Story Behind “Love Options”
BESTie originally debuted in 2013 and disbanded in 2018, with the members pursuing solo careers at that time. Nobody expected a return — until “Love Options” suddenly started climbing charts this year.
The 2014 track rose to number one on Shazam in South Korea, broke into the Melon Top 100 peaking at 47, and went viral across other Asian countries and social media. The unexpected resurgence appears to have convinced the members to give the group another shot.
Timing the announcement to the dance challenge was a clever move — the reunion reveal rode the same viral wave that brought the song back to life.
Fans Are Emotional
The reunion news spread instantly on social media, with the BESTie fan account community celebrating wildly. “BESTie together after 8 years, I never thought we’d see them again, this is soooo surreal,” one fan wrote, while another posted, “MY DREAMS COME TRUE! Ugly crying RIGHT NOW. BESTIE IS SO BACK!”
This marks yet another 2nd and 3rd generation comeback driven by pure fan demand — some groups return because they miss the stage, and others, like BESTie, get pulled back by their own songs unexpectedly rising from the dead.
