MODHAUS has broken its silence on the online allegations swirling around Lee YoonSung, one of the nine trainees competing to become a member of idntt. The agency’s official statement, released in English, firmly denies the claims and warns that spreading unverified rumors could undermine the fairness of the entire project.

Earlier today on October 18, MODHAUS officially unveiled the nine “find id” candidates who will battle for the final four spots in idntt, along with the voting schedule. Among them was Lee YoonSung, who previously appeared on the survival shows “PROJECT 7” and “B:MY BOYZ.”
Shortly after the reveal, allegations against the trainee began spreading online — including an old post accusing him of soliciting gifts from fans and then blocking them. Within hours, MODHAUS issued a detailed rebuttal laying out what it says it confirmed after moving “immediately to establish the facts.”
The Agency’s Point-By-Point Denial
According to MODHAUS, no private meetings ever took place, and no gifts were ever requested. The agency states that Lee YoonSung never met privately with a fan and never asked for gifts or financial support during his time as a trainee. He declined every gift offered to him.
The agency did acknowledge one incident: a bracelet worth under KRW 10,000 was sent through a KakaoTalk Gift code, and while attempting to decline it, the exchange was mishandled and the item was ultimately accepted. Lee YoonSung “sincerely regrets not having been more careful in how he responded to fans,” the statement said.
On the blocking allegation, MODHAUS explained that the trainee treated the individual as a fan and nothing more, but cut contact and blocked the account after the behavior escalated into “sustained intrusion into his private life, accompanied by obsessive behavior.”
A Criminal Complaint and a Plea to Fans
Notably, the agency revealed that a criminal complaint has been filed in the matter. Police initially declined to refer the case for prosecution, and MODHAUS says it is appealing that decision.
The statement closes with a plea: “We ask that the sharing of false claims and malicious SNS posts stop. Unfounded rumors damage more than one trainee’s reputation, they undermine every other participant competing fairly, and they devalue the votes cast in good faith by fans.” The agency committed to giving every trainee an equal footing and protecting them from baseless rumors through the end of the process.
