Girls’ Generation member Yuri has fans buzzing after her candid marriage talk on a tvN Joy variety segment uploaded on October 17, hot on the heels of fellow member Tiffany Young‘s headline-making marriage this year.
The video, titled “What if Hyorisoo Gets Married? Jae Suk Oppa Decides(?) Yuri’s Wedding,” follows Yuri as she passes through Insadong and recounts a recent tarot reading. “I got a tarot reading here not long ago,” she said, adding, “I had my love life, marriage, and future all read.”
“You never know. Life is unpredictable.”
When Yoo Jae Suk asked how the reading went, Yuri laughed and admitted, “They said something might happen, but nothing is visible right now. It’s frustrating.” Then came the moment that lit up fan communities: Yoo Jae Suk teased, “Are you going to get married suddenly?” and Yuri answered meaningfully, “You never know. Life is unpredictable.”
The marriage talk turned playful when the group imagined Yuri’s wedding. Fellow member Hyoyeon declared, “I don’t want to have a wedding,” while Yuri shared her own dream ceremony: “I want to have it in nature.” When Yoo Jae Suk joked she should time it for when the weather is cool, Yuri quipped, “Maybe I’ll adjust it to the weather you like, oppa.”
Tiffany’s marriage started the conversation
The marriage chatter is no coincidence. Tiffany Young became the first married member of Girls’ Generation when she registered her marriage to actor Byun Yo Han earlier this year. During the segment, Hong Hyun Hee pointed to Tiffany as the trailblazer, saying, “Because Tiffany did it.”
Byun Yo Han himself has since spilled details about their honeymoon in separate coverage, keeping the couple firmly in the spotlight. Meanwhile, the group has even bigger news ahead: Girls’ Generation has confirmed a full-group return in 2026, giving SONE plenty to look forward to beyond wedding bells.
