Dancer Vata is counting down to his wedding with fiancée Ji Ye Eun, and he is not holding back about how much he adores her. In a new teaser for MBC’s The Manager released on October 17th, the Street Man Fighter star showed off his life as a proud soon-to-be groom.

In the clip, Vata put on an apron and cooked cabbage pancakes and pasta — skills he picked up recently for a very specific reason. “I recently started learning to cook to make meals for Ye Eun,” he said, explaining he had learned pasta, pumpkin dishes, shakshuka, and salads just for her. “I really like the feeling when the person I cooked for eats the food,” he added with a smile.
A Family Already In The Making
Vata also revealed that Ye Eun has fallen in love with his hometown of Chungju, where his parents live. “Ye Eun loves Chungju so much that we went there recently,” he said. He laughed about how she treats the ochre room at his parents’ home like her secret hideout and often suggests they visit.
The dancer’s face lit up as he recalled seeing Ye Eun walking hand in hand with his niece in matching outfits. “That moment really felt like family,” he said. “I’m so happy that Ye Eun likes my family and my family likes her so much.”
How They Met — And Why He Proposed
The couple’s story began at choreographer Gabee’s birthday party, where they first crossed paths briefly. They later reconnected through the same church and started dating. Vata revealed he popped the question at Ye Eun’s house with a Tiffany ring, admitting he was “really nervous” at the moment.
As for why he decided to marry her, Vata got emotional: “Ye Eun loved me just as I am. Having been in the working world for a long time, I often wore a mask and was sometimes hypocritical, but Ye Eun saw me as I truly am without any pretense. She’s the one who taught me what love really is.”
The pair, both born in 1994, went public with their relationship in April and are set to tie the knot on December 12.
