Jordynne Grace has been missing from WWE television for months — but fans shouldn’t read that as a sign she’s heading out the door. According to the latest backstage word from WrestleVotes, the reason is much simpler: WWE just doesn’t have a creative spot for her right now.

During a recent WrestleVotes Q&A, JoeyVotes explained that the latest thing he’s heard is that Grace “isn’t in the creative plans” — while stressing, “That doesn’t mean they don’t want plans for her.”
A Numbers Game on SmackDown
The women’s side of SmackDown is simply crowded. Joey pointed to the full-blown storylines already eating up television time: Fatal Influence, Charlotte’s group, Jade Cargill’s group, Tiffany Stratton with the briefcase, and the Nikki Bella, Paige, and Chelsea Green storyline. With the show back to two hours, someone inevitably gets squeezed out.
“Numbers thing. How many different female stars can you feature on a two-hour SmackDown? Someone can’t always be featured, and she unfortunately falls under that category.”
Not On Her Way Out
TC pushed back on any idea that Grace could be leaving WWE: “She isn’t on her way out — that’s not the sense based on the people I have spoken to.” He also revealed that Grace recently spent several weeks secretly preparing for a bodybuilding competition, and WWE may simply be letting her finish that before figuring out where she fits next.
TC pointed to Johnny Gargano as proof of how fast things can flip in WWE — Gargano did nothing for months, then suddenly found himself in a number-one contender’s match and a Money in the Bank qualifier. “It happened at a moment’s notice.”
There was previously talk of pairing Grace with Ivy Nile — vignettes were reportedly filmed, and WWE filed the “Iron Built” trademark connected to the idea — but the latest update didn’t address whether that direction is still alive. For now, Grace is stuck in WWE’s numbers game, not a backstage dispute.
